Hurly Burly
Banned
Hi all-
Looking to cut back my playing time some so I figured it may be time to clean house. So, I'm selling the following package. Its a 2005 amboyna burl, hoppe style Paul Mottey. The specs. are as follows.
MOTTEY
Cue is 58 inches in length and weighs approx. 18.6 and 18.7 ounces (depending on the shaft).
Forearm is beautiful birdseye maple with 4 points of amboyna burl (great figure). Veneers are natural, black, natural, black (inside to out).
The buttsleeve is a beautiful piece of amboyna burl with some spectacular figure. The hoppe ring is ivory and the butt cap is black phenolic.
**NOTE: It is not visible in these pictures but there is one small finish bubble approx. 1/4 of a mm. in diameter. I will try to get pics.**
The joint is 5/16 x 14 piloted ivory with classic Mottey shop stitch ring set in black phenolic.
The wrap is a beautiful piece of brown lizard that matches the burl PERFECTLY. It was installed by Paul Fanelli who is a master with lizard / leather wraps.
The cue has TWO shafts (both thin) which is why the price has been dropped. The main playing shaft is approx. 12.25mm while the other shaft is approx. 12.5mm.
JUMP/BREAK
The jump/break is a Kevin Varney. It has a long jump handle which is great for long jumps. It weighs approx. 19.5 oz and both jumps and breaks very well.
by GEORGE CASE
The case is a 2x4 Brunswick, by George case. It is brown gator / croc (???) skin. Can't remember. It has a small pounch for tools, etc., and the lock is fully functioning and comes with key.
I am looking to sell the package for $1800.
SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PICS!!!
I am, however, still looking to stay in the game, just on a smaller level, so I am open to trades or trade + cash offers. Specifically for Bluegrass plain janes / sneakies; Sugartree plain janes / sneakies, or possibly other ideas.
If there is interest, please PM me.
Thanks,
Hurly
