Forgive my communicating with you in this manner but I cannot find your phone number. Shannon, let us know who the sponsors are for your $20,000 added event. We would like to give them the publicity they deserve for stepping up to the plate. There is nothing we love more than folks willing to sponsor pool!

And to ALL tournament promoters, please include the names of your sponsors in BOLD type when you send us your press releases. The AZB community does a pretty good job of supporting companies that support pool. Players who like two cues equally, for instance, will buy the one from the company that puts back into the game.

The tournament Jerry mentions is the 20K added Players 10 Ball Championship scheduled Nov 18th-23rd being held at King Street Billiards (My home poolroom) in Fayetteville, NC. They are also having a 5K added 1 pocket being held at the same time.

I'm not sure whose all sponsoring the event or if they have them locked in, but what I can tell you is that the owner, Danny Odom, is a big fan of pool and has the financial backing to make this event a success. He plans on making it an annual event and making it bigger & better.

This tournament is being held a few days after the US Open and it's only 3 1/2 hours away from Chesapeake. So I'm expecting every top player to be there. Should be a great event for sure.

If the date of the 20K-added tournament is November 18-23, it is more than a few days after the U.S. Open. I think the U.S. Open begins October 18th (players meeting) until October 25th, Saturday to Saturday.

I may be wrong, but that is what somebody told me.

Ahh, you're right JAM. As always! The date must have been changed because I know for sure that it was supposed to start a few days after the Open.

the decision Waac made to change the dates because the World 9-ball and 10-ball events were taking place right afterwards which would have taken players away from the tournament, and it also gives spectators a little break between this and the Open.
