Every time I log on to the forums it goes to (not responding) after the Internet Explorer in the blue top bar. It has taken me two hours tonight to get where I can type this or read a post and I was wandering if anyone else was having the same issues.--Leonard

Hi Leonard,
I can tell you with unequivicable truth that the problem you are experiencing is localized to your computer. There are several things that can cause problems such as you're experiencing. If the problem arises after you restart your computer the odds are that there are too many things set to "load on startup" If it happens consistently after that it's more than likely spyware or malware using up your available resources in the background.

All of these are easily fixable by a local PC tech. A couple things you can try on your own prior to taking it in are these:

1. Utilize anti spyware software such as AdAware and Spybot ...both of which are available for free from www.downloads.com you can use multiple versions of this type of software, but don't double up on anti-virus, they all mark their competitions software as malicious.

2. Remove programs that automatically start when your computer turns on. Walking you through this is challenging and could cause some incoveniences if necessary programs are halted...here's a good link that will help you to remove those...http://kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/page.php?id=1688 before stopping something you have question about, use www.google.com to search for the program/file in question to help out.

This is just some basics but as I mentioned earlier, a local PC tech can help you a ton. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM and I'll do my best to offer some advice.

Good luck to you sir.

Mattie

Thanks Mattie I just had the harddrive wiped clean 3 weeks ago with a new CA anti- Virous-Spyware program installed which has been my favorite for a few years now. It works great on all sites but AZ and is working very quick now, I'm on the fastest Roadrunner from Time Warner cable. I'll look at the programs running at startup and see if I need to pm you.--Leonard
