I just sold a cue to a buyer in Spain. Is PayPal a decent method for him to pay me? Other than the fee are there concerns I should be aware of? Cue will be shipped within the US so customs is not an issue. Thanks for your input.

Have two paypal accounts, two bank accounts. Take money out before you ship, leave 2.50. Some jacktard wants to pull a fast one, they can try and get money out of an account with 2.50 in it.

If you owe Visa $2,000 and decide to stiff them do you think the fact that you have $4 in your bank account will stop Visa from collecting on your butt? PayPal has the legal right to collect in the event of charge backs and they do what businesses with a legal right do to collect, which has nothing to do with your linked bank accounts or how much is in them.
Kevin
Having been in a dogfight with Paypal they can shut down your service and that's it.
Only (2) types of Sellers accept PayPal ... Those who have been screwed by
PayPal and those who will eventually be screwed by PayPal.

This is incorrect. Their other remedy is to take the electronic agreement that you signed when you agreed to what is essentially MasterCard's boilerplate in order to accept payments that are credit card funded along with proof of the charge back they suffered and file and win a judgement against you which they do about a zillion times a month.

Im from Europe, and i always ask to make the payment with wire transfer.
First reason for that is i dont have a pay-pal account, second i think this protect the seller.....On the other hand i dont buy from everybody![]()
Its nice of you to always offer your seller a wire transfer as it for sure protects them. However, I'm not sure what protections the process offers you as a buyer.
Thanks
Kevin
They cannot get what they can't get there hands on.

You are right offcourse, but like i say i dont buy from everybody...before i do my homework,in that sense im limited.....on the other hand i know many, many great person here on the forum that i will give my money first...and doesnt have nothing to do with itrader (important yes but not most important)
I can say as a trivia story that i was after a cue some times ago...i offer to the buyer wire transfer, after that escrow service on my account and the seller didnt wanted to deal with me,it was very strange and to be honest also very insulting for me....after few days the seller ask me to procede with the deal...offcourse i refuse and say to myself that i will not try to do deals with that person never again, even if he have a Mobley for sale, lol
Also i have great experience with one member here,i was after a case but was over my price range...he told me:Hey Alan, you pay me 600 now,in few months when you will have some more money you will transfer me another 200 is no problem.
Offcourse i refuse because i dint want to make advantage of the seller, but he touch me straight in the heart and if we ever do deals,i will send him my liver first if he ask.Need to mention that i didnt do deals before with the owner of this case,a only knew him on this forum, nothing else.
the conclusion is that people need to do their homework and dont read to much bullshit,we have here really great persons,no matter from what country they are,and we have in here scumbags, they come also from everywhere....so,do your search people and be carefull
Kevin you are a great example,we never did a deal, but based on what you write here on the forum and based on your behaviour etc...i would give you my money first any time, but hey, that's only me
Have a great evening everybody
Kevin definitely knows what he's talking about.Bank transfer or Western Union only! No Paypal.Good luck.Hope it wasn't your Searinglol
