FORUM Problems TODAY

The forum is slower than a snail today. In fact, it reminds me of when I had dial-up, and even that was faster than the way the forum is responding today.

I understand that the forum went down last night. It is a shame when this happens, but I guess it is inevitable when it comes to the technology era.

I post this thread for those who think it may be their system that is not operating correctly. Hopefully, when the Vegas tournament concludes, this forum will be back up and running spiffy again.

Hey, maybe I will get some work done for a change, instead of outsourcing it to others. I am chief cook and bottle washer. I kind of like being the chief cook rather than the bottle washer, though. :D

Catch y'all on the rebound! :)

Is that what was the matter with the website last night? I couldn't imagine what made it seize up. Seems like every few weeks there is some major glitch. I'd concluded that AZ must need more advertizing revenue in order to beef up their equipment.

It is working only intermittantly.

For me, it seems like it's back to normal, whatever "normal" is. However, when I click the links, it responds immediately, as opposed to hanging. I have high-speed cable, which probably helps.

I used to have DSL last year, and I do not think it would work at all on DSL, the way it was this morning.

A day without AzBilliards is a day without me goofing off at work. Somehow I don't like that. Plus, I want to know everything that's going on at the Vegas tournament and hope others who are present will post updates and pictures.

Right now, though, the forum seems to respond well for me. :)

It is extremely annoying to not have AzBilliards working when I want to read about what's happening.

I remember when this forum went down right smack in the middle of the DCC in Louisville. GEESH! What a bummer that was.

It is funny when AzBilliards is down, some of us do post on other pool forums, and we see each other over there talking about what's going on over here -- or not going on, as the case may be. :D

I will say that I really, really, really like Billiards Digest new-and-improved website, to include their forum. WOW, what a nice change. It has some cool features on the forum, too. For those who haven't seen Billiards Digest website in recent times, check it out: http://www.billiardsdigest.com

The Main Page is full of cool pool tidbits! That said, I will probably always be an AzB-er, but it is nice to know there are other options available to finding out the latest pool smut! :p

Oh, yeah. BD website comes up quick as lightning, too!

Thanks JAM

... for posting this. I was about to call in my techie (a know-it-all brother-in-law) for assistance. Figured the problems was on my end.

Now, how long will it take to post this???

The Forum has problems, running very slow, or just not at all, Mike is in Sin City, Nevada, assume the server GIZMO Thingie is in Phoenix .

Lets see the BCA is over Saturday in Sin City, Mike should be back in town Monday at the latest.

We had some minor index corruption on some extremely huge database tables. 65 Gigabytes worth!

While we rebuild the indexes the site will probably run a bit slower than normal but should be completely functional from here on out.

I appreciate your patience.
