Wow, it must be great to be a Hall of Famer !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night was awesome at the West Coast Challenge in Mountain View Ca.

The shots and safeties were unbelievable.
There is nothing like seeing it live.

The best safety game was John vs Scott in the One Pocket semi-finals.
Where Scott at one point had 10 coins on the table and John had 3.
The way the balls were lined up at the bottom of the table was strange to say the least.
It was amazing to see Scott come back and almost win.

I was on pins and needles as Francisco first played Corey Duel, Scott Frost and John Schmidt.

Francisco and I have been friends ever since he came to play in USA.
He calls me his older brother.
After the win we quietly celebrated in our hotel room eating adobo, rice and other delicacies.
Lena, Francisco's wife cousin made us the food by staying up all night cooking.

I have never bet against Francisco, how could I, I'm half Filipino.
But last night Fast Lenny said lets bet a hundred. I said okay but I want Scott and you get Francisco.
We thought about it, said okay and the said no bet after a couple of more seconds simultaneously.

Next up today for Francisco is Rodney Morris in the 10 ball, It is never easy.
Francisco admires Rodney's game.
It will be a tough match.

Yeah, but it is great to be a "Hall of Famer".

I watched the Francisco Corey match on my pc. That was a great match!! Why did Francisco forfeit that one game though?

Was there a forfeit ??????

I'm not sure there was a forfeit Rick?

I remember that Francisco gave up a game early to Corey, I think.
He said later in the room that he knew Corey would run out the game so he gave it to him.

We also talked about the two foul rule?

There was the issue of the three foul rule.
After Corey fouled the second time Francisco told Corey your on two fouls.
Francisco then went on to shoot.

The rule is at this tournament you have to notify your opponent of his two fouls when he comes up to play the next time.
Francisco did not say to Corey your on two fouls.

Ken Shuman the referee told us that yes Corey heard Francisco tell him that he was on two fouls after he committed the foul, but that he had not said it when he came up to play next.
The rules were that you have to tell your opponent he is on two fouls when he comes up next time to play.

Since Francisco did not do that, Ken said he could not enforce the three foul rule.

Rules are rules and they have to be enforced which Ken did.
It was the right call Ken, Barney.

When I have time today, I will talk to Ken and Francisco again.

Who won the match between Corey and Bustie?

Are the pros planning on playing in any tourneys at the Hardtimes in Bellflower soon as a warm up for the US Open 10 ball?

Sorry I didn't make that more clear. I meant forfeit of the game. You answered my question but I just thought it was strange that Busty gave up the game with like one ball down.

Yeah that 3 foul thing was weird but the ref Ken answered the question extremely well. He did a fantastic job reffing that issue!!!

Thanks for answering my post!!

Busty won it but it was a great match. I thought Corey played exceptionally well! He made some awesome shots!

I didn't see it but heard that Ulrich made a phenomenal shot in his match with Scott Frost! Scott won that match btw.

Yes

Yes, Lenny has been recording.
There were some awesome matches again last night.
Lenny has been working non-stop.
If you can donate, please do even if it is only $5 bucks.
Every little bit helps.

Who says the Pinoy's don't play good one pocket?? :)

LOL - anyone who says that should never be listened to again :)

Efren is the best to ever play and Alex P. is probably top 5 in the world. Not to mention Jose P.'s iconic gambling prowess at the game for over 20 years.

I think the guys from the islands can swing it a little at one hole. Busty is easily the most underrated Pinoy one pocket player. He is a lot better at the game than he gets credit for.

Hall of Famer can play anyone

After the win in our room, we had a quiete celebration eating Filipino food.
Francisco said they do not play One Pocket in the Phillipines so he does not get to play enough.
He wants to stay here for a couple of months and play nothing but One Pocket.
If he does that no one would be able to beat him.

Barney it was nice seeing you again my friend and Busty played very well, the difference between him and everyone else was his cue ball control, he made it all look easy while everyone else was struggling and did not adapt well to the tight pockets and other things. See you next year I hope bud and thanks for the support. ;)
