Francisco Bustamante's Bear Cue?

The butt(or the Bear patch and $$) doesn't count? He doesn't always use Schon shafts. Some of his newer cues are Uni-locs and he just has the shaft turned to his spec. So its either a Bear-Bear or a BearSchon.

I am not sure if I am understand you correctly? it is not possible turn bear cues that are uni-loc so that a schon shaft can fit it? So he uses a bear-bear or in other words a bear shaft? and a bear cue with a different joint (non uni-loc ) can have a schon shaft?

How does he get the bear shafts turned to his spec? (how does bustamante prefer his shafts made?) and can I have a custome cue maker do it for me? Can I get a bear shaft turned to this bustamante spec by a custom cue maker?

I think what he is saying is sometimes he doesn't use the Bear butt which a Schon shaft will fit. Instead he uses a uniloc Bear butt and bear shaft with the shaft turned on a lathe to his specifications.

Not sure if it's possible to convert a 5/16x14 to uniloc.

You could have a bear shaft turned to Bustamante's specs but first you would have to figure out what those specs are. If you are thinking turning a shaft to Bustamante's specs will make you play like Bustamante that's unlikely.

I'd quit worrying about what someone else uses to be honest. I've told you what i know about his cues. I'm done here. Find a cue that YOU like not what some other player, regardless of how good they are, uses.

Exactly. The newer models are all Uni-loc. Some of the older Bears had 5/16x14 and Schon shafts would go right on. This guy needs to quit dwelling on what the guy uses. I told him to contact Ortmann as Oliver probably knows what he currently uses. FB goes thru a lot of cues.

It isn't a greater offense that you are dwelling on what he's thinking about?

I've tried to give the guy the info that have on FB's cues. I really don't care if he gets his dream cue or not. Why do you care? Are you my monitor or what?

I guess he took his Busti bromance to the Ask Cuemaker section. Dude is like a dog with a bone.He's never going to find exactly what he uses unless he sees him in person and asks him.
