Francisco Galindo

I believe it was Ernesto and Bobby Hunter. They put more $$ on the light and kept on playing. John
Johnny boy, you are correct it was Ernesto.

he's still around

Hi Everyone.

Greatly pleased to be apart of the forum. An amazing amount of pool knowledge on here.

That said, I'm wondering if Francisco Galindo still plays.

I live a few blocks away from a room he used to own here in San Bernardino, called "Gold Ball Billards."

About 12 years ago, I was privileged to watch him play a high stakes money game against Keith McCready. A great event for a pool obsessed 15year old to see.

Would love to hear any stories about him as well.

Thanks.
He plays every Sunday at the hard times tournament, I lost to him hill hill last week.

Oh and what about "King Kong" Chavez?

Is he still around?
Bernardo still hangs out at hard times, not as much as before but I saw him last night over there

Ernesto, I believe plays as good as ever. I think he's gotten even better than he played in the 80s and 90s. I believe he's a notch above them all now.

Danny

Good to know. Maybe I just play better than I thought.

Back in '90-'91 Francisco was a top player if not the top player in SoCal and he was also great action.

At that time I watched him playing Keith $500 & $1k a ball payball on Big Bertha for hours on end.

I think Keith quit him 16k ahead when Keith stated "there's too much dead wood aroung here".

Most of the big $$ games on Bertha were liability snooker and Keith was pretty much a go off in that game. Once when Morro won a big number playing cards, the game went on for a week or two, off and on for $50 a point. Keith burned up a few stake horses firing at this game. It got so bad we made him post $$ on the light so he could pay off the final few balls when he went empty. The game was usually five or six handed and on that tough table the pace was very slow and not suited to his style. Then they made the mistake of playing payball with him. He got in stroke and robbed the ring game for a big number and ended up beating Francisco too. John Henderson
