Fred Fairchild sneaky pete....Southwest blank shaft.....FOR SALE

This cue was made by Fred Fairchild from Indianapolis Indiana. The shaft is made from a Southwest blank and has a really nice hit. Fred's cues play great and this is the only one that has this type of signature. The cue looks like a jump break but it is not. The butt weighs 14.7 ounces and the shaft weighs 3.5 ounces and is 12.9 mm with a buckhorn ferrule. The cue has a 3/8 11 pin and is in great overall shape. SOLD

Not to divert from the for sale thread but I am super interested about the Southwest blank and if you can actually buy a shaft blank from them. That is awesome

I dont think so. They were at one time selling "seconds", or shafts that did not meet Southwest shaft requirements pretty close to the end of the process. These were usually pretty good shafts, actually very good shafts, but for some reason were culled out. I have known a couple of cuebuilders that have used these "seconds" and I have found them to be great shafts.
