What kind of scam could benefit from getting phone numbers?

I'd flag it but they are never removed when I try to get someone's scam add removed bit they sure know how to get mine deleted

I've thought about that in the past too. I run across what seem to be fake posts on CL almost daily. This is only thing I could come up with - making up some reason ( pics or whatever ) to get you to use your personal email and when you click on the attachment they sent you - bam they go ya! I know on some of the auto for sale ones these use a fake posting ( car for sale for thousands less than its worth ) as a lead generator. Fake postings are used across all sectors on CL as a means to physically rob folks when they come out to see / pick up product and this is the one you have to be most worries abiut. A kid just got shot in the face going to do some kind I'd Xbox deal off of CL just 15 miles from my house. It is a great tool but ya really do have to be careful.

They never respond
It's just a means to gain numbers and emails

Obama is us lyrics that's the first thing that came to my mind as well but what is the benefit to that? Is it just to make lead lists they can sell or something? I guess names and email would be good for identity theft but theyre missing quote a bit of info.
