>>>>>Free Brand New Dennis Swift Case To Someone Who Needs It<<<<<

You really are generous. I hope this case goes to someone who really needs it.

On a side note I'd like to extend a thanks to Joe Blackburn who when I was a lot younger (and very broke) put a tip on my cue for me to allow me to finish the Jr nationals qualifier.

This was in the early 90s at the JoB in nashville. My tip had popped off. I didn't even have enough money to buy food but just enough to split the gas 5x with some friends and pay for my entry fee.

He had noticed we obviously were struggling and helped me out. Just thought I'd share this. Joe blackburn is an awesome guy who does awesome work.

Thanks for mentioning Mr. Blackburn. Though I have never used his services before, he sounds like the type of guy I want to do business with. Most of us have been helped in a tough spot, and if we all do the same for someone else, only good can come from it!!!

Hey Folks, The only thing I ask for is that you paypal me $20 for the shipping. I want this case to go to someone who needs it and will not flip it. As you can see in the bottom picture my name is on the lid. I talked to Mr. Swift recently and told me it would cost $30 (includes shipping) to replace that part of the lid. So you are getting a brand new 2x4 Swift case for $50.

I'll say this again, this case will be given to someone who needs it and will not flip it. If you know you do not need the case then please do not inquire. Let's use the honor system here folks and get someone a great case.

Thanks, John

John,

I wanted to thank you for such a generous and thoughful proposition. I've been a member here for a couple years and once in a while a member will stand out and doing something truly kind for another AZ member. They say you will you never have what you want in life if you don't first learn to give with out expecting anything in return. In essence that's what you are doing and I commend you for it.

I don't have a sob story or really sad reason to give you as to why I wish I could be the lucky one chosen to accept your wonderful gift. I can tell you though that I have longed for a Jay Flowers, a Jack Justis, or a Dennis Swift for many many years now. The only case I've ever has was a hand me down Guiseppe from my brother that is also a member here. I've been very appreciative of the case but both of the pockets are ripping from all four seems and it's a matter of time before things begin to fall out. It's a nice case otherwise and if someone knew how to sew the material a bit, the case could last for a very long time.

This isn't a bribe of any kind, just some thoughts I had as to what I would be willing to do if it turns out today is my lucky day.

1) You have my word I would never flip the case
2) I would pay it forward. I would post my case in the same manner, to be given to someone who needs and deserves it
3) No problem paypaling you the total cost to ship the case
4) Would like to extend to you a free spot in a $29 2008 Sugartee Cue no one knows that I am about to raffle :)

Again John I would like to thank you for what you are doing. It's the special people like you that make AZB the great community it is. Congratulations to the winner of such an incredible offer. You deserve more than Rep John, thank you

Anthony

Thanks Bill. That is a mighty fine gesture for you to do that but the case has found a good home already. I'll see you at the expo. I will be on the hunt for a Szamboti and Searing (who isn't  ). I WILL WALK AWAY FROM THAT SHOW WITH ONE OF THOSE TWO CUES THIS YEAR

John

As everyone has said, that was a great gesture on your part. Its a great feeling to help someone in need. I had the priviliage to have that feeling when I gave away a cue. I know I will continue when I can. Greenies for you...

This is the last bump for me on this thread. I just wanted to thank everyone again for the more than generous comments and rep points.

I remember plenty of times when I needed help and there was a reaching hand to give me what I needed. Sometimes from a perfect stranger. I was in the position to be able to give this case away to someone who needed it as opposed to trying to make money on it so I did and it felt great. I encourage all of you to do the same. Whether it is a case, a cue, or a tip scuffer it does not matter. If you are able to do such a thing please do so and help out a fellow AZ'er who needs it.

Quote from Mr. Tom Brokaw

"It's easy to make a buck. It's a lot tougher to make a difference."

Thanks, John
