I have a new copy of Perfect aim that I will ship to the person that gives me the best reason why they need it to improve their game.
I had this extra copy laying around because when I ordered it originally from Gene it took quite long in the mail getting here to Canada so he sent me another one thinking that the first got lost. Just thought that this might be a good way to hear some funny stories. I will ship it on Friday.

because I am really bad at this game and I wanna get better. Besides, it can't be my fault that I miss shots, it must be the way I'm looking at the ball.;)

Because as almost 50, my eyesight has weakened to needing prescription bifocals in the last few years. I cannot bribe myself into getting those goofy upside down glasses. I play without glasses on. Perhaps this will compensate for my vanity?!

I'm just beginner started playing about 5 months ago and I really love the game, the problem is that I can't pocket long shots and I really need am aiming system. And that might be the solution.

I feel that I have reached a point where I am not showing progress with improving my game. I have tried many different books and a couple of DVD to reach where I am at now. I have read good things about the Perfect Aim system and would like to give it a try.

I am looking for perfect help.

I am interested in a perfect PSR, a perfect stance, a perfect stroke, perfect cue ball control, a perfect break and of course, PERFECT AIM.

None of which I have now.

Right now my game is based on the random collision theory. Get em all moving and something has to go. When I'm crashing into the balls pretty good-I only need 3 or 4 sh1t shots a game to be competitive.

If I can learn to rearrange furniture better with PERFECT AIM, then my chances of winning will get better. A more accurate strategic blast would be be a quivering arrow upgrade.

Efren says he learns from bangers.

Bang on!

I'm a relative newcomer to pool, having just gotten into it the last couple years. I've come to the game much later in life than most, which makes improving a bit more challenging, methinks. (I started at 46 years of age.)

I desperately want to improve, as I have gotten rather addicted to this great game. Yet I have limited time and resources, due to work and family obligations. From everything I have read about Perfect Aim, I expect that it would be extremely helpful to me in improving my game.

(I still plan on trying to take Gene up on his generous offer for a phone lesson. But I am quite sure it would be better absorbed if I could see the information presented in the video. Scheduling a time to talk with Gene is tough because I don't have a home table and will have to find a time when I could do so at my local room without interruption.)

Regardless of who you choose for your generous gift, I want to thank you for deciding to do this in the first place. It really is a great thing you are doing. Very cool.

Time is an issue.

Been playin' this game over 55 years and if there is something out there that can make me more competitive than I am, I want to know what it is! Always a student of the game, when I first saw PA mentioned I tried to figure it out on my own with little success. Came close to calling Gene on more than one occasion on the recommendation of a trusted player/friend. Just felt awkward to do so by phone. Thanks for the offer (to the lucky recipient).

Because I'm a flat lander from Saskatchewan. Its so cold here right now that I have to wear woolens with the fingers cut off for warmth.

Its also hard to make a ball with icicles hanging off the end of your cue.
I need all the help with aiming that I can get.

I need that bad. I have almost solved the puzzle am putting in a ton of time and I had the perfect aim phone lesson. I am ready for the next step which is watching the DVD. I want to make consistent fundamentals a part of my game and seeing the shot is a big part of this and I will do the work.

Thanks for chance to get this DVD and thanks to Gene for coming up with this system and sharing it with the pool worl.

I gave up golf and started playing pool because I was losing too many balls.

It hasn't changed..........

I need help!

I have a rare eye condition that causes me to see double all of the time. It's not a huge deal for me (I was born this way), except when I get down to shoot. At that point, it's difficult to concentrate on 2 sets of balls on the table. So, I'm forced to shoot pool with one eye closed. I catch myself only using one eye even when I'm staring at the table and chalking.

At some point, I start getting a headache. While I've made progress this past season, I need something that will elevate my game to finish matches sooner. If anything, to save myself from a splitting headache. I've gone so far as to use an eye patch, but it doesn't help much and I'd rather not be called Captain One-Eyed Jack every time I screw my cue together (or would I?).

That's my story. Sigh. :(

TeeA,
YOu might find the phone call with Gene a lot less awkward than you currently imagine. YOu should give him a call.

Curious mostly

I see the balls and angles pretty good, my execution is my hold up. I just want to see what he sees and how to see if a change is in order. If it helps and I need to change, so be it. If not, I will probably pass it on to some of the new guys struggling in the local pool league. They always call dibs on my old books anyway.

Reps to you

I don't want it, I just want to give reps to you for putting it out there for someone.
JoeyA was right. Just take the time to call Gene. He is more than willing to spend time with anyone with the desire. Hell, he spent a half an hour of a Saturday on the phone getting me straightened out. He surely had better things to do but he was certainly gracious in sharing his time and knowledge. I know I went to bed a wiser man.

I think I am a pretty good candidate for Perfect Aim. I am a college student in Ontario. I can't really afford the $80 for the DVD right now, and as much as I would love to call Gene (and I am sure I will eventually) it's hard to do that right now too. For one, it would be an expensive call. For another, the nearest proper pool hall to call from is about an hour away, making it difficult to co-ordinate a good time to do so (my grades are my biggest priority right now). I do get to play in one or two "b" tournaments per week, homework permitting. Generally, I get my butt kicked, though I do my best and try to incorporate all the things I learn on this forum. I haven't been playing very long, and in the time I have, I have only really been able to play at a casual level. Still, I play as much as I can, and it is one of my favorite hobbies. My problem is, I can play really well one day, and embarassingly bad on another. As soon as I graduate, I am going to see Stan Shuffett. In the mean time.... I am diiiieing to know Gene's secret. I have high hopes that it could help me bring more consistency, because I am very conciencious about making my mechanics as good as I can, but some days things just don't look right. I will stand up and get down on the shot a few times and still miss. I would love to try out Perfect Aim to improve my game!
