Anyone ever use these? I like the Champions but never tried these and just found a box.

They worth anything?

The problem is how they were stored. I had a customer that had a whole box of the old Champions but the problem was they were dried out. Put a few on and they all started to have chunks of leather separating from tip. Too bad they did not preserve well.

I've got a few of those although I've never used one. Chandivert was a company that made tips. They had 10 different styles of tips and the Champion and the crown were both made by them along with the Snooky, Rocky, Comprime, Super Royal, Eurika, Match and Rond. I carried all of them but only had calls for the Champion and the Rocky. This was back in the 60's through the 80's. They went out of business some time ago.

words of wisdom, drying, that's the problem with those old tips when not stored properly .

do they have a value ? good question, it depends if they're dried or not ;) ... a little secret : they are much appreciated by -some- artistic billard players for their "fouetté" shafts, but that's another story ;).
as for -very old- example , René VINGERHOEDT ( RIP) , the belgian world champion, was using them extensively on his artistic billard shafts...

here is a pic of the old Chandivert catalog :

If they didn't cost you anything and they are dried out, you could try soaking them in milk. I have no idea about what the best ways to treat dried leather would be, but you wouldn't really be at a loss from trying (expect for the milk you use I suppose). I would be worried about the tips separating from the backing, but other than that, install one and see what happens.

I had a handful of old dried up tips as well, and I soaked and pressed half of them. If I ever have the time, I'll install them, test them out, and post if there were any differences.

They were just stored in a back room at the pool hall and forgotten for a couple decades..

They feel fine?? I don't know if they'd have an issue or not really
