Frost-Gorst......?

I think the only reason a lot of the young straight shooters can match up well in 1p with players like Scott and Tony today is because of the wealth of knowledge available at the click of a mouse. They can look up things that used to take players years to figure out. It's a lot like chess. Let's say you bring back Bobby Fischer, maybe the best player that ever lived. He might struggle today even against top 100 players because they have access to computer engines, more game databases, and many new theories since the 70s.
Fischer was able to think outside the box more than any other player in history.

Magnus, Kasparov, Kram, all would face big problems playing Fischer.
Let's not even talk about if they played Fischer Random how badly everyone would do against him.

Anyone who plays either Gorst or Filler any pool game in a long-race "straight-up" is going to lose. Remember Alex P. thinking he could beat Gorst in 10-ball lol?
After "spotting" Frosty the first 3 games on day one, Gorst is 14 and 6.
The easiest job in the world is being one of these kids' backers lol
Alex beat him twice before the match you're talking about. I was surprised to that Alex won races to 25.

I thought Frosty was power 1P? Now he is a mover? LMAO

Now Chippy is online betting up Gorst for a match. He must not like his money.
He is definitely power 1 pocket when the time is right but he has also proved he can move with the best of them. But it looks like he has done neither this match.

Yes those 2 are a once every 20 years talent. SVB doesn’t have the talent either of those 2 have. SVB works hard and has continued to have that work ethic which has served him well, and his break(best ever in pool). But in terms of “raw talent” filler/Gorst are like Earl-next level raw talent. In a couple more years game over they will win everything everyone will be playing for 3rd place.

(This is not a knock on SVB-he’s my friend and I hold the highest respect for his work ethic and gambling ethic, and his game of course!!! He ain’t bad as a person either 😉, & I'm so happy he got his well deserved & earned WC). There was never a doubt 💪💪

I was wondering who was up next the last 10-15 years. And now we know.

Fun to see.

Best
Fatboy <———-zero talent
i agree that filler and Ghourst are the future, but Shane is just as talented IMO.

... (He ran 8 & out in 3 consecutive games today 😫)
Almost. His only streak of 3 or more consecutive wins on Sunday was when he reached 16, 17, 18, and 19 total wins in a row. His out runs in those 4 games were 8, 2, 8, and 4. So it was probably his 17th win where you thought he also ran 8 and out. But his 8 balls that game came on a run of 6 and then the out run of 2.

Gorst is showing too much of his hand in my opinion. Only a fool would play him straight up now lol

This ain’t 1995.

It’s well known that any player that good can adapt to new games quite well very quickly.

Gorst has an 800+ Fargo. There’s only one player from the US and 26 in the world in that category.

Anyone willing to play him yesterday will be willing to play tomorrow.

He won the all around earlier this year as well.

This isn’t going to be an “oh shit, don’t play that guy” moment. Everyone already knew he’s one of the best all around in the world,

Lol, apparently "Everyone already knew he’s one of the best all around in the world" doesn't include all the people who bet on Frosty to win..., and there were a lot. I made out well picking Gorst.
And people actually thought Chohan could beat Filler in 1p too. Hahahahaha!
Look man, other than SVB and occasionally Skyler, American pool players' egos are writing checks they can't cash. American pool overall is sad, frankly.
I'm pretty sure Gorst will play ANYONE, ANY GAME, straight up for big cash. Filler too. And Kaci. These Euro-kids are studs.
Like I said before, decent players with big egos and bankrolls are fodder for the top players. And the top players thank you!

21-12 Fedor Gorst Scott Frost put on a major performance of “powerless one pocket”
Scott's had his day(s) in the sun. Just check his record. He just ran up against one of the new young guns of the game and got toasted. He admitted as much on his FB page. No need to talk shit about the guy. You wanna play him some and get out from behind that keyboard?

filler v chohan was close, on a home table filler had been practically living on for weeks/months. i'm not convinced filler would win if they matched up again.

gorst vs filler in a money match is a coin toss in most games, but in 9-ball i hold filler a slight notch above him. straight pool too.

anyway a natural progression now for fedor and 1-pkt is chohan or alex. dennis, no es posible. unfortunately.

I saw Gorst accept a challenge from Chip Compton on Facebook. That could be next!
