In case you people arent paying attention ,the market is a little "off" for pool cues..........

Off a little bit mostly for production cues. These cues you have to wait 5-7 years to get one, that's if he will even take orders then. One just went on ebay for 1500 and it was a year old.

Please let me tell you i have ordered at least two cues from Richard personally and have owned probably 5 or more of his cues so i know exactly what they are and what they "should" sell for but i beleive the market is off for all pool cues...........
This cue is worth all the money and i do know that as i know how well they play.... Best of luck with the sale and it is a beautiful cue sir.............:)

If anyone would like better pics I have them ready. Just PM me your email, and they'll be on their way!

I have seen and hit a few balls with this cue. The pics do not do this cue any justice! Awesome piece of bacote and a great playing cue to boot!

it is a nice cue,but the one on Ebay was wraplesswhich is decidedly more rare, and it might have been fake bid.if you look another wrapless sold a few days later for $1300 that was brand new and sold by new2youqs,a very reputable seller.i have never seen a plain Bluegrass bring more than $1200's and the ones that did get to $1200 were Ebony and they are very rare and sought after by Bluegrass collectors.most of the Maple and Coco cues don't bring $1000 and i would put this cue in that category.i think your pics are OK and the cue obviously has a nice piece of Bacote, but i think the price is a little too high.that is why no action on it.

the wrapless that sold for 41500 WAS MINE AND WAS NOT A FAKE BID. THE CUE WAS BOUGHT BY A GUY IN FLORIDA. sorry caps was locked. as for lenoxjs cue i could not find thhe auction but i did pm him when mine sold. the wrapless ones are more rare and more money. i do agree with the maple and coco cues. i would not pay thru the nose by bluegrass cue do sell pretty good anytime. just need to time it right. thanks and good luck.

I think it's a nice looking cue...and from a great cuemaker. I've owned 4 BlueGrass cues over the last year or so....and each one was great.

I see a couple things going against the sale at the listed price. Mind you, this is just my opinion....but having gone through a couple cues, I feel like I might have a small clue as to what I'm talking about.

1st - It's a Bacote cue. I, personally, LOVE the looks of bacote. The grain detail in a nice piece of it is awesome. I had a Coker with the best piece of bacote I've ever seen....and loved it for everything it was. I still regret selling it. There are quite a few, though, who don't like that particular wood. It's got a much smaller "fan base" than maple or cocobola. To each their own...but those who are looking for a nice BG cue might be put off by the wood this one is made from.

2nd - The market sucks, as we're all aware. I can't believe how many cues have been on the boards for as long as they have been...with no action at all. The ones that have sold recently (minus a couple given exceptions) have taken more time to sell than they would have a year ago. I know that summer/fall sales drop off a fair amount....but this year seems to be worse, on the whole, than the last couple years. That, to me, ties directly into why this cue hasn't sold to a bacote fan by now. Each of the BG cues I sold went for different amounts. I've gotten as high as 1150, and as low as 850. There's no rhyme or reason to it, since Mr. Harris builds a cue that seems to play equally well, regardless of materials.

Hope your cue finds a good home soon, sir. The fact that this one is still available is another checkmark in the "why is the market so bad?" category. Have faith....it'll move.

Be good,

Mark

Granted those are more rare, but only a 100 dollar upgrade. This after shipping I would only be getting 1100.00. Hopefully it'll move......
