Thanks for the comments. The cue is in outstanding condition and it hits a ton. A 4-point with and ivory joint is not seen often.

I would consider partials trades for the cue. Particularly interested in Mottey, Scruggs or South West cues.

Had some interesting trade offers. Still looking for the right trade or would consider all cash offers. This is a serious Gus cue that is a great player and one that is collectable due to the piloted ivory joint. Let's get this sold before Christmas.

Just beautiful...this is a dream cue.

Having a flashback - this looks just like a cue I tried and considered buying (and in hindsight should have) some 23 years ago. Nice!

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

Couple of questions about your Gus.
*Did Barry date the cue?
*You say "The cue was recently shipped to Barry Szamboti for authentication and was returned after he made and matched up the third shaft"... yet above it appears he made two shafts for the cue. Were they made at dif times?
*Also, how well does the ringwork/collarwork match up between all pieces?
*Is there a weight bolt?
*What, if anything about the cue is NOT original, other than tips perhaps? (Finish, bumper, wrap, etc.)
*I have SW's and such, if needed, but am curious what is your cash price?

I'm no tire-kicker and I won't waste your time or mine haggling. I look forward to your response and possibly a quick close.

The cue has a weight bolt.

??? What about the other questions?

I had pretty much the same questions in mind especially the second question about the shaft(s). This cue should have sold by now perhaps it may be that there is only one Gus shaft that may be on the thin side for some folks.

Please do not PM me with junk. If I ask a question in a thread, please reply within that thread. I am a very unorganized person, and trying to figure out what random PM's have to do with the price of beer in China is a waste of my time. Thank you for your help

SERIOUSLY, EMAIL ME AT THE LINK BELOW AS MY PM BOX HERE IS ALWAYS FULL.

The cue has not been dated. I intend to talk to Barry this week to see if he can find the cue in his dad's order book.
There are two Barry shafts. The 12.75 shaft was made for the cue at an earlier date.
The ring work, collar work matches well as Barry insists on having the butt to match to shafts as he makes them.
I will send you the price via email.
Mike

Thank you for the response. Just one question still,
*What, if anything about the cue is NOT original, other than tips perhaps? (Finish, bumper, wrap, etc.)

Thanks again,
