FS: Bob Runde

Thanks Ivan. We'll talk soon.

Doug

Doug,

I had no idea you were selling this cue.
I'll holler at you before the weekend is done.

FWIW, this is one of the nicest looking Runde cues I've seen (heck, it's nice for ANYones work) and it hits quiet, solid and accurate.
The next owner will be a happy camper, I'm sure, as this is a gem.

This cue is out of my price range for a 2nd cue or I'd gobble up this deal...

Very nice offering from an honest sell that knows good cues
I've seen the Mike Wheeler cues and they are gorgeous.

Bump and price reduced to sold. I'm surprised this has not sold, it plays super and is in excellent condition.

beautiful cue!

This is just my kind of cue. If I had the 1200 in my cue account, I would buy this. Santa has busted up my PayPal acct. this year. What are the other cues you have pictured?

hit

How does this cue play compaired to an early R series Schon? I ask because of the bigger pin and shorter joint. This looks like an interesting hybrid joint. Wondering if it hits between a true SS with 5/16 14 and a true flat faced wood to wood joint ala SW, Omen.

What is your asking prices for the SW's?

I've hit balls with this cue for maybe 15 mins about 6-7 months ago. To try to compare the hit with an early Schon it has similarities:

The taper is very similar and as such the 'pivot point' is similar so that squirt vs. throw factors will be familiar.

There are differences:

This cue is quieter in that there isn't much in the way of a "chirp" or a "ping" from the contact. It has a nice clean sound that will seem natural to a player who's used wood-to-wood cues.

The actual "hit" or playability is excellent and one might find more similarities than differences to an older Schon.

- I hope that can qualify and quantify part of your question.

interesting

Thanks for the informative description. The more I read, the more I like this cue. Sure wish I had the funds right now. Love to give this one a try.

Ivan's description is very good. I actually forget that the joint is steel, because is "hits" similar to wood to wood, or ivory jointed cues that I've had in the past. However, it is not "dull" like many cues that I've had. The playability is excellent IMO... finely tuned.

The SW's go last. No price set yet. I'll make a new post for them when it is time.

Bump of the day. I've had 3 people who said they would buy it, but alas I don't see any funds coming my way. If you are a tirekicker, please kick tires someplace else and stop wasting my time.

This is a super player....amoung the last of over a 100 cues I've owned...I've saved the best for last.

Runde's production is very low and this one is in great condition.
