Hello,

Well, I helped this friend of mine before selling his bowling alley shaftwood and this time I made sure that there were no nail holes near the areas that need to be cut, there are some nail holes on the edges but all the squares are over 1". Actually, the wood we had doubts is set aside and will be cut into dowels soon just to make sure there are no surprises. It will be offered for sale after we cut it.

Some of the wood has a bit of curly in it.

So the stock is limited and I have less then 250 squares for now. By the way, the maple is over 40 years old and some of it is still stamped Made In Canada.

All orders will go out tomorrow. You should receive a tracking number on your email.

All the orders received since wednesday will ship today.
Still have plenty available of all grades.

Any comments on how these play?

Good question, tricky as well and this thread might become 50 pages long.
I can give you comparison...
I bought 10 shafts from Joe Baringer (about15/20 gpi) 4 of them are on cues that are going out the door this week and I really like how they play.
Then we have the bowling alley squares and in my humble opinion they have a more solid hit and a higher pitch when you drop them in the ground. The Baring shafts have more of a deeper tone, I prefer higher pitch tone shaft wood, but that's just me. I also don't like snow white shafts, therefore I absolutely love the color of the old bowling alley shaft wood I have. Right now I am turning round shaftwood from 1958. I will have some of it for sale soon. Everybody else might say something completely different.
