These cues are house cues that have been turned down and painted. They are built to last, they look really cool, and the finish won't wear out. The hit great too. I enjoy mine. You can't go wrong with one of these. Rod.

As Rod stated the cue is not ebony, but to answer the other questions the paint and finish is in awesome shape I polish and wax all my cues on a regular basis I am kinda OCD about keepin my cues lookin good, and the rings are not raised at all. the whole cue is in great shape, actually I didn't play very much with this one it damn near looks new.
