FS: Dennis Searing J/B

One of Dennis's stunning jump/break cues:

- Right around 19.9oz; very well balanced.
- SS radial wood to wood joint and Uniloc brass jump joint.
- 2 shafts: 12.85mm and 12.8mm.
- Non-ivory ferrules and medium single layer tips.
- Alternating maple & bocote? rings at ABE with a single brass ring on each side of them.

Very classic looking and one of the cleanest, nicest custom J/B's I've ever seen -- not to mention powerful. Everything is straight and flush. Picked it up at Valley Forge last month. Unfortunately, I stretched myself pretty thin to acquire it in the first place, and I haven't been able to recooperate like I'd hoped...

Cue makes a great breaker, but it is most definitely qualified to be a phenomenal player. Toss the playing tips of your choice on there, and you're good to go...
Dennis's work speaks for itself.

PM with reasonable offers (cash or trades+cash).
Asking $2000 shipped & insured.

Thanks.

If George, Jerry & Gus came back to life and teamed up, made a 1 of 1....and you owned it....you'd sell it in less than 30 days.

Lol. It was never my intention to keep the Searing for very long. I planned on holding on to it till around the summertime, but I always planned on selling it at some point in the near future. I'm just not looking to keep high-dollar cues for long-term right now...I like to try them out for awhile and get to see what they're all about...maybe trade around, or just get my money out...that's all. I'm still in the process of learning all about the cue industry and all the sticks out there...I don't have the capital to hold on to a cue like this and expect to be able to try another of similar value anytime soon...

On the other hand...if I had a nice Varney J/B, no way I'd ever let that one out of my collection! Lol :D
But something like that I can afford to hold on to -- not like this...

I just try to hold on to my primary players.

Hey, check my site and let me know if I have anything that might interest you in a trade plus cash.

Regards,
Duc.

Fickle? Eh...not quite. I believe that even you would agree that my behavior is consistent. And it does not lack direction -- I explained my position above. If you're in it for collecting, more power to you. That is simply not my aim right now...

And I appreciate the opening bid. I think you missed a 0 at the end there, though... :p

...and I look forward to the next jab, gentlemen...
It has become quite the passtime. :)

Don't worry about what people think, Joaquin. I've flipped cues over in less than 24 hours of receiving them.;) Some of them were really, really good ones too. Where I come from, pool, as a sport, is dead. Subsequently, the only access I have to good equipment is on here and on eBay. I think of it more as 'borrowing' than buying and selling.:)

If someone could come up with a better way to try out different equipment, I would be interested to hear it.

-Shane

P.S. Only Misers hang on to every cue they purchase.

Lol...well put.
That's pretty much how I feel...
Yup...

Thanks, Shane.

Besides, I'm giving someone else the opportunity to try this cue out. I just don't see the harm in that...? Why complain....

Just...

Just busting a bit of chops!!!
Actually Id probably have much nicer cues now if I had started collecting in college like J.
Good luck with the sale!

Lol...thanks and good luck to you on the tables, Pauly! :D

1800?

Is this the Searing cue that some lucky fool got at VF! Lucky-Yes. Fool? Only if he sells it!
Nick :)

Lol. I hear you loud and clear, but I just can't be the "lucky fool" to hold on to this cue, unfortunately...unless I get no offers. Lol. Guess it wouldn't be all that bad...nonetheless...

Interested in being a "lucky fool", Nick? :D :p

Asking $2000 shipped & insured. Very close to what I paid.

Thanks, guys.

Thanks.

If you've got a idea what you want for it then let people know.

Good luck with the sale, it certainly is a rare cue.

EDIT:^^^^^LOL, beat me to it. :D

You have been kind enough to help me in the past and with all the whoing and haing going on lately about wanted Searing threads I just wanted everyone to know without any doubt you and that cue are for real!
Your price is very fair for anyone not wanting to wait 3-4 years. You are the only game in town!
Thanks for all your help in the past.
Good Luck!
Nick :)

Well, I appreciate the kindness, Nick. And I look forward to helping you out again in the future whenever I can. Thanks again...
And that's from the heart, sir. :)

Thanks for all the interest thus far via PM and keep it comin', guys.
Looking forward to allowing someone else a shot at this great stick...

- Joaquin.
