FS; Milk Dud Tips

I'd love to try one but, exactly how does soaking an Elkmaster tip in milk improve it's performance? I have heard these tips deteriorate quickly and require frequent replacement.

These tips don not deteriorate. Try one and find out for yourself.

Not sure where or who you heard this from, but I`ve sold quite a few of these tips here on AZB & have not had anyone complain about the tips deteriorating or wearing out quickly at all. I put one of these tips on my buddies cue in April of 2009, almost 2 yrs ago & its still in great shape with no mushrooming what so ever. He also plays 3 nights a week in 3 different leagues. As far as improving performance, what I have found is it makes the tip harder after soaking & pressing than the original tip out of the box, which it requires less maintance & holds its shape longer without mushrooming & still grabs the CB like a soft tip does. Thanks for the bump & let me know if your interested in buying any tips. Have a great day.

These tips do not deteriorate, I bought 5 about 9 months ago and only put 1 on my OB-2 too try and it is still playing great and has never changed shape.

So these are hard but hit soft. How do they stand up to being cut down? i have a 314 shaft and it is not a 14mm tip. I know nothing about tips but i do know i have a moori med right now. How do these compare to the hit the moori?

Hi Rich
They are soft right out of the box, but after being soaked & pressed in my tip press for 4 days they are pretty darn hard to me. My tips are 14mm & they will cut down pretty easy with a lathe or a good sharp razor blade if you know what your doing. As far as the moori comparision, its been a long time since I have played with a moori tip but these tips seem to be in the med hard range as far as hardness goes IMHO. They hold there shape like the hard tips do but grab the CB like a soft tip does. Hope that answers your questions sir. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Thanks for inquiring.

Did I hear right that Efren Reyes uses Milk Dud tips? I know he has said that he uses Elk Masters and I had heard that Strickland does too, then recently heard that they're Duds.
I know they used to call any brand blue tips "chromed" tips. If there is chromium on these DO NOT TASTE THEM EVEN TO BE FUNNY. As far as I know, Chromium is poisonous unless chelated into a molecule like chromium pocolinate or chromium polynicotinate.

azer ''tenballjoe'' your tips were mailed out first thing this morning.
Thanks for the business sir & bump up the duds.
Jeff
