Fs:nearly new cognoscenti shaft

If the shaft had a common thread, it would be sold by now, peeled, or not. Too bad it will only fit on a Cog, or i would buy it myself.

I see nothing wrong with the shaft, other than some anal retentive, cosmetic sh!t.

I'd play it, it's obviosly the better shaft of the two, or the other one would have been "peeled", and played with.Just sayin........

It will fit on any cue you want, if the thickness at the joint is the same. Just have a cuemaker plug it and rebore/rethread.

Joe, i could do that myself, if i thought messing with a perfectly good cog shaft was an ok thing to do, which i don't. The joint dia. would'nt matter one bit either. Thanks anyways tho,

Scott

So if my math is correct... huysmall offered you $50, and Cuemaster98 offered you another $100. That is $150 for this shaft which is pretty much what it is worth IMO. Nobody in their right mind is going to pay $275 for a Cog shaft. Take the $150, move on, and quit obsessing about this shaft. Just my $.02 worth...

Are my eyes playing tricks on me... lol

Lol...didn't realized I was been teased. Honestly, from my point of view the same is perfect especially at 13.10 mm...the only flaw is the ferrule type used. I would have someone change the ferrule and take the shaft down to 13mm and this would be brand new. The shaft looks super solid and I sure hit a ton...congrat on the buy.

Duc.

Guess i'm not the only one that thinks it's nearly perfect.......You got what you paid/traded for, and original sale thread showed the finish was taken back on that shaft. I guess your eyes are indeed playing tricks on you. The cue IS nearly perfect/excellent, or whatever Huy said. If you disagree, trade back, simple as that. The belly aching, and name calling is at least imo, making you out to be the bad guy, not Huysmall.
You're lucky the cue is in that good of shape, considering it's been around the world, and back. Just sayin............

Ok great....congrats your in a very small group of people that feel this way..

Not true....The pictures in the original thread are terrible, and don't show the peeling..what they show is faint bluing..(my pictures show the actual condition)..I asked Huy specific questions about the shafts, and condition of the cue, and he lied..

It's your quote pal..
if i thought messing with a perfectly good cog shaft was an ok thing to do, which i don't.
I love it when people talk out of both sides of their mouth..lol

That's your opinion, and that's fine, but you are in a very small group of people that feel this way..Your thinking the shaft is in perfect/excellent condition is a laugh..It's obvious you have sub-par standards, and I'll avoid all your work in the future..

Sure I have no problem sending the cue back...Huy send me 60.00 paypal gift, and I'll be happy to trade back, after I receive my cue back first in it's ORIGINAL condition..

If the cue had arrived with any damage 100% of the responsibility would be on the sender not the recipient...fortunately luck doesn't play a factor when doing deals here..

It's obvious your a novice in the wanted for sale section of the forum..There isn't one person I know on this forum that would of accepted this cue in the condition it was sent.. and I would recommend you raise your standards if want others to do business with you in the future..JMO

I doubt it......

How can you not see in the first pic, that the played shaft's finish is only about an inch and a half from the collar? Does anyone else not see it?
I guess in your case, a picture is NOT worth a thousand words......It's plain as day, to me. Maybe not as clear as your pic, on macro, after you drew a line around the finish ridge, but still.......Look again.

I was referring to doweling, and retapping it, as you well know. Not cleaning, and refinishing.....

Is the shaft 13mm. or more? Is the shaft straight? If yes to both these questions, then yes, it is in fact nearly excellent.....Sorry.
Oh, and no worries about me selling you anything, after the way i see you deal with matters, i would'nt sell you a unopened, sealed tip.

I'm one person. I would've cleaned the shaft, fixed the finish, and had it in like new, or, nearly excellent:grin: condition. My standards are undoubtedly better than yours, seeing how i can SEE better than you, obviously........(pun intended).

How smart are you, when you were trying to sell the better of a cue's two shaft's?

Yes you are one person, and?? It's obvious you don't pay attention...I said not one person I KNOW...I don't KNOW you..Like I said earlier I don't buy projects or trade for them..I ask a lot of questions to the avoid problems..It was obvious Huy didn't care, and all he wanted to do was unload a cue...Here's a picture of another example of Huy not caring.....a plastic sleeve and 3 small pieces of bubble wrap to travel approx. 8000 miles...Yep the wrapping of the cue was another language barrier...lol...Why don't you go play somewhere else..Your Uninteresting and tiresome...

I do hope you get it worked out to your satisfaction, for what it's worth.
I see you now want to trade back, and i think that's the best solution for both of you. I also hope the cue you traded him, gets back to you, in the same condition it was, before you sent it to him. Good luck to you both.

Dale,
Sorry, I have to jump on your thread. But i can't keep patient and quiet as you did, talked wrong shaft as you did like this.

Hi bro Duc,
The peeled shaft is smooth, and roll straight. The ferrule is original, not be replaced. It got some stain 'cos I replaced the tip to Kamui by myself knife, sand paper. And snowmon tried to say unknown ferrule and unknown tip to down my reputation here. LOL.
