Is the cue laminated? Forearm looks kind of funky...

No wait! Guess I should read the fine print!! Why is the forearm laminated?

Kent laminates for strength/ stability and because it allow for use of woods that would otherwise not be suitable for cues. He wants sturdy platform for the shaft. The forearm also has a core (for example purpleheart underneath what you see). The results justify the extra labor that goes into the forearm.

exceptional qualiity of build...offered with conditional buyer approval...be cue happy!

Wow...

Hey Martin

That is one beautiful cue you have there.. I always wanted to try. But never had the chance to hit with one of Kents cues before. So I was wondering, Where is the balance point, how much does the butt weigh and how would you describe the hit( Stiff, etc..) on this cue???

Thanx

Nick,

Hi Nick, Balance point is 18-3/4-19". I'll have to weigh the butt. Call me if interested (seven one four 612-1025 PST). Kent's cue's play firm but responsive. Not overly stiff. Not pingy. If you buy it and test hit a few balls and don't like it for some reason, I'll take it back and refund you less shipping. To date all Kent Davis owners have been anywhere between happy and euphoric. You get a lot for your money with Kent Davis. Great woods and meticulous build quality inside and out. Thanks, Martin

Nick,

Thanks Mason. Kent starts out with select squares and dowels and by the time he's at shaft size, he uses only a portion of the wood he started with. He sells what doesn't meet his standards to local guys who make sneaky petes. He is very picky with his shaftwood and cue woods!

good looking shaft wood on that cue.

bump...top notch quality of build, should be an exceptional player.

Tremendous new cue value. Would cost more than double from cuemaker with greater name recognition and the quality of build here is superb.
