FS Old school Josswest Rosewood cue very nice

1982-83 Josswest cue, #9 catalog cue. Figured birdseye maple forearm with rosewood points with natural, reddish/brown, natural and ebony veneers. Rosewood buttsleeve with 4 ebony rectangles with natural, reddish/brown, natural and ebony boxed veneers. Each ebony rectangle has a notched MOP diamond with a MOP circle on each side. Very sweet old school classic design. The joint is a rare 5/16-14 piloted "Ivorie" brand material, an ivory substitute that was available at this time. New chestnut brown with black speck wrap irish linen wrap. Comes with 1 original 12.50 mm Josswest shaft with a new ivory ferrule as the original was cracked. Shaft is perfectly straight and perfectly smooth. Cue was just refinished and it is just perfect.
Butt weighs 15.4 ounces with a 1 ounce weight bolt
Shaft weighs 3.8 ounces
Total weight 19.2 ounces, very nice balance.

***Second skinny shaft added , 12.25mm ivory ferrule, then sanded to 11.15mm 6 inches down by prior player. Refinished 6 inches down from joint. Can be used, but super skinny. Can be used to make 2nd matching shaft using original collar by making a tenon to extend into new shaft. Any experienced cuemaker can do it.***

This cue is a classic beauty and the non-steel piloted joint plays with great feel. The cue is unmarked as all of Bill Stroud's cues were for about a year and a half during this period, as discussed in the Blue Book of Cues. The Derlin butt cap is original. The cue is in the 1982 catalog photo #9 that I will include.

$1000 shipped. This is just a steal for this cue. Add 30 bucks if you want to pay by PayPal or as a gift.

*** Would trade for the right Bill McDaniel cue +/- cash***

Cue is cue #9 with the imitation ivory joint.

Refinish done by Dan Dishaw, who only does perfect work. Mr. Stroud retired last year. This cue is a gem.
I have a 2nd shaft that is pretty skinny that can be included for another $100.

Bump it up

Very sweet Josswest cue.
Will entertain trades of under $1000 value plus cash on this one.
Make reasonable offers, it needs a new home.

Could work a real nice package price on this and the other Josswest cue I have. I hate to seperate them!

Josswest

I can bring this cue with me to Super Billiards Expo in less tham 3 weeks if anybody wants to see it and shoot a couple racks with it.

I can go 1850 on this. Would consider trades if they interested me.

Send me your cell# if you are interested and want to see this at SBE. I will be there Wednesday. Would discount to $1675 for not shipping and paying Paypal fees.

Price here 1750 FIRM, which is a great price on a cue this fine from a recently retired master cuemaker with a 40 year long career.

Will consider trades plus cash. They just have to appeal to me.
