FS: Really nice vintage CENTENNIAL case

Fake Centennial Case ?????

When you log on to Ebay directly and search for this item looking up the description it can't be found. Is this a Fake or another scam artist trying
to get money for nothing. Buyers BEWARE...........................

CENTENNIAL Case

Then how come it cannot be found on Ebay when searching for it not
using the id number. The id number can be fake and so can the home page. If somebody else finds it let me know.

With all due respect, it's one thing to say:
"I searched and couldn't find it, why not?"

It's another thing to say:
"I searched and couldn't find it, is this a fake, a scam artist trying to get money for nothing. BUYERS BEWARE!"

Quite often on eBay a listing won't show up due to...
1) Temporary problem with eBays searches
2) Item was only recently listed and not yet showing up in searches everywhere (this happens all the time)
3) Item is not showing up on a particular regions eBay. For instance if I search eBay Canada (www.ebay.ca) it won't show many items that I can find on www.ebay.com.

I'm not the seller. I don't know the guy. I just know I would be highly annoyed if I listed something on eBay, posted a thread about it here, and the next time I checked the thread, someone had insinuated it was a scam without good reason. Don't be so quick to throw around accusations, ask a couple gentle questions first, hmm?

If anything I was misunderstood and did not mean to imply the case was
a fake or that the seller was not credible. I apoligize if this is the way it sounded. I do however have a problem with people who have no clue as to what they are talking about. I found 10 Frauds just last month alone
on Ebay and got scammed myself by a so called good guy on AZ Forums
so don't tell me that it does not happen because it does. If it ever happened to you, maybe then you would realize that not all people are
good people just because they say they are. WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

samsarakid24,

My point was to gently suggest I don't think the seller would appreciate being accused of being a scammer, that's all. At least not before being asked the question about his auction not showing up...

Given that you've indicated you got scammed on here recently, and I know how horrible that feels, I'll leave it at that. Good luck getting your money back or the case. Keep us posted.

And to the seller of this case on eBay, good luck with your sale!

Shinobi,

Let me be crystal clear so that you can understand what I mean.
I apoligize for the misunderstanding and I am sorry your feelings were hurt.
I should be more understanding and positive to others comments as well
as pay closer attention to detail when I make a statement. I am sorry
I did not mean to for what I said to be misunderstood.

P.S.- B.T.W. Did you ever lose money to a scam artist ?????

Hi Guys

Purdman here, let's not be so sensitive here. Nobody got harmed and we are all sorry when someone gets scamed. It has happened to a lot of us. At the same time I have seen small things turn into huge flame wars ending up in bannishment by OZ. Cue was late, not as described, cuemaker went awall, you name it. I have been involved in a few myself. I must tell you that I see 1000 times more good deals gone down than bad. However, this (and got scammed myself by a so called good guy on AZ Forums) has got my attention. I know we had a guy come on and make some cue deals, burn a couple of us and dissapear. I would like you to please clarify your statement! Was it a current (Good Guy) here on the forum or was it a scammer that got over on some of us? Thank you for your cooperation. You may PM me if you wish.
Purdman:cool:

samsarakid,

Yeah, I know what it feels like to have to go through all the ebay/paypal drill when an auction goes bad. Fortunately for me, I have had money money refunded. You can check out the lengthy thread "fraudulent sellers on ebay" in which the local azer community was of great assistance in the return of my money.

I'm presently involved with another bad buy that I made on ebay due to blantent misrepresentation by the seller. This one also has required police involvement and I have not been refunded to date.

As for the value of my cue case, if one were to look into the auction number I listed as a reference point to what someone else sold a like case for, it would be noted in that auction the high bid was $370.00 with the reserve set at $300.00

I'm a bit more pragmatic in that I set the reserve at $285.00 and I'm quite certain by the end of the auction the case will at least hit reserve.

As for references on integrity, contact any of the following: joe at classiccues.com or zcat (Dal) or fastnloose (Marcus) or krbsailing (Ken) to start with.

I realize you're still feeling the sting of being scammed. Many of us have been through that, and quite frankly you will not find a better group of people (as a whole) then the people on this site. Yes there are some sh*tbirds, however the feedback you've received from the guys on this thread should help you in your future investigations prior to pulling the trigger of judgement.

You can PM me if you have any questions about how to catch the guy who scammed you, unfortunately I have lots of experience with these a**holes.

Out in left field

with his 'Buy it now' price.

Heck, years ago, a long time, I bought a IT's George eelskin 1 x 2 case brand
new for $125, and had to wait 7 months while it was being made. Plus it had a pocket on it. (I was not happy with the flimsy shoulder strap though).
Ended up selling it later for $100.

Today, it seems like they are getting more for used 1 x 2's this style than
you used to pay new for them.

Unfortunately, the case only pulled $275.00 and that was on the second chance offer. It was ten bucks below the reserve, so my reserve was not too far off the mark.
