Here we go again! Another sacrifice for the overall good of my cue collection! :p

Beautiful 2008 Starkey Titlist conversion like new condition! Ya'll are gonna have to help me out on the butt wood, Wenge? I do know that the forearm has some sexy curly that doesn't show up that well on the pics though! :p
Butt: 15.5oz
Buckhorn Joint
Shaft: 13mm; 4.25oz; Buckhorn Ferrule; Kamui Med tip (installed about 3 months ago; 4 hr of play) very little blue to the shaft
Starkey wood pin
This cue hits solid! As close to a one piece cue that I've experienced, doesn't hit hard just solid and smooth
Well balanced, feels effortless to move the ball around the table.

Looks like it could be Honduran cocobolo or rosewood to me....maybe Ipe....we'll see what others may think.

Do you know what the measurement is at the joint?

From my experience with wood, it looks like mahogany into curly maple. Cocobolo and wenge are darker with wenge being very dark. Cocobolo tends to be dark brown, having brown to orange streaks at times and yellow sap wood toward the center. Mahogany has larger pores and is a reddish brown like your cue.

i defer to mr hoppe

i bought this one piece cue from a dealer of antique brunswick tables and cues. i was told it was mahogany, but mr hoppe has much more knowledge about these cues, so if he says it padauk, must be true

I have a padauk Titlist in my collection and it's my favorite. They have an orangeish-red color that really make them unique and absolutely beautiful.

Nice cue. I don't think I've ever noticed (or paid attention to) that much curly figuring on the forearm of an original Titlist.
