John Nemec is a retired mechanical engineer and cue maker. He said that he built his first cue in 1967. He is also the builder of the Deano cues commissioned by Dean Campbell. John's cues are truly super playing cues.

This particular cue is a Prather full-splice blank with Titlist veneers, and was built for Jack Potter (former builder of Libra cues). John said that Jack disappeared on him, so he made the cue available for sale. This cue was originally sold for John here on AZ by Deano...it was test hit and put away in a collection until I got it in a trade deal for a higher end cue. I played with this cue a little at the pool room...it is really exceptional in its playability, and the classic Titlist look is timeless. The points on this one are dead-nuts even.

This is a heck of a lot of cue for very little money.

Specifications:
-Butt: 14.6oz
-Shaft: 3.9oz, 12.5mm, Titan ferrule, Milkdud w/fiber pad
-5/16x14 piloted stainless steel joint (no collars)
-Purpleheart 4 point full-splice into a straight-grain forearm
-Titlist veneers of natural, mahoghany, green, purple
-Ivory Hoppe ring with "JN" logo
-JPs included

SOLD!! Thanks!

Joe

Damn Joe, after reading your post I almost feel guilty for not buying the cue. Were you a politician or car salesman in a past life? Great cue and great description.

Good luck with sale, not that you will need it.

You are definitely one of AZs good guys.

Jon

 ,I know its just a mental thing but I wish I could play with shaft smaller then 12.75 cause I would grab this cue just to try out ,, Great offering here Joe....<< ED

i remember the cue and it really is a dandy

the joint looks so clean and the cue plays like all of John's cues play

i recommend any cue that john nemic makes

i doubt if you will find a better playing cue at any price

Jon: never a car salesman..I did sell ladies shoes back when I was in high school many years ago...I guess I wanted to grow up to be Al Bundy. Also, definitely not into politics...I never could play that game.

Ed: the taper of this shaft delivers a firm hit, even at the 12.5mm. I don't think it would cause anyone any problem...I believe one of the most popular Mezz shafts is only available at 12.5mm.

Dean: thanks a ton for the input...this is a very nice looking and even better playing cue...you are absolutely correct, the joint work, as all the work of this cue, is extremely clean and precise, as you would expect.

To everyone else: this is an exceptional cue...the buyer will not be disappointed.

I just meant I would snatched it up at this price to try it out , if the shaft would be alittle bigger. I know its just me and a quirk I have. I know alot of people that love a 12.5 and even smaller shaft...sorry I didnt mean anything negative except at myself  ,,,< ED
