That sure is a LOT of cue for the Money!!Here is a brand new bacote player from Jim Pierce with some premium woods in it. Jim built this cue without veneers because he wanted the beauty of the wood to stand out, and it does. The forearm is some very nicely figured birdseye, and the bacote is just awesome. Jim finished the cue with a solid juma joint, a juma Hoppe ring, and one of his new, premium shafts...these are really nice shafts...tight grain, white...just a touch of curly...and he finished the shaft with a corian ferrule for a solid hit...feels a lot like Aegis.
Lots of cue makers have used corian ferrules over the years. It was used almost exclusively by the makers of Parrot Cues...I don't know whether they are still using it or not.
