Jimmy Mataya - nicknamed Pretty Boy Floyd by Minnesota Fats. 1972 and 1973 World 8-ball Champion. One of the guys that when I was growing up I just wanted to look like stroke-wise (Louie Roberts and Jim Rempe as well).

As late as the early 90's he came in second to Earl in the McDermott Masters. Although he was PAST HIS PRIME he proved he still had the game to contend with the best players in the world.

Lol, great vid! I think nowadays if he had been messing with a dude shooting the case 9 for $200 he woulda got punched the 1st or 2nd time he walked up to him in mid stroke talkin about the price of paint lol!! Have you seen my brush? lol!!
 
He was annoying as a painter. If it were to be a different bartender instead of that women he will pull out the baseball bat from underneath the sink and chase th painter out.
 
I will not give details here. This happend more than 20 years ago. It was a AAA tournament and there was a Bookie taking the bets. Floyd intentionally lost his first round. For the second round match his rating went down on the Bookie`s lines. Floyd told his friend to bet on him heavy and he is going to beat his opponent in that match. Floyd revealed that to me before the match. He beat the opponent as he said. His friend won huge amount. The Bookie went broke and after that the Bookie closed his shop and went home.

The problem is the bookie was trying to hustle a hustler, but didn't know his mark was a hustler, so he was outhustled by the better of the two hustlers. Anyone who has seen the Floyd Hustling Video will know the best spot for Hustler to be in is when he meets a fellow hustler that doesnt know he is a hustler so the hustling can begin and the better hustler can hustle the worse husltler out of what he hustled the even worst hustler out of.

Its all crystal clear to the best hustlers.
