Hello Friends!
This thread is dedicated for the most popular fullsplice wood connection called Tulip. Here I'll show you what is it and how differently it may look. If you ever wanted to know more about fullsplice cues - it is very good example, because principles I'll show here are suit to any fullsplice model.
Sit back and subscribe, the thread will be very-very long.
All starts from the base:
Above is the simpliest form of this model – Tulip 1p.
It is the base, every Tulip model, even the most complicated ones, contains it.
Tulip is the most developed model at this moment. By adding number of splices and changing their location we’ve got numerous different geometries with one basic splices intersection in common.
Below are represented the same Tulips, just in more complicated forms. Each title contains all the information of the particular model geometry:
1p. 2p. 3p and so on - quantity of the base tulips.
long, long flipped, specular, double, ... - the way of location the tulips in the model.
plaited, overlapped - the way of intersection the tulips in the model.
Images borrowed from here: https://www.shurikencues.com/product-category/models/tulip/
Basically that's it. Using this principles we are designing our models.
Variety of the Tulip geometries multiplied by different wood species combinations get so many models that would be enough for an each pool player on the Earth to have their own unique cue.
So your design requests are very welcome here.
Just dig it, have fun, earn money, leave your mark in fullsplice industry, have your own NFT with your unique design like these: https://opensea.io/poolcues/
Or create and patent your offline collection like this one: https://www.shurikencues.com/product-category/collections/patriot/
Let's make it together!
By the way, one of the cues from the Patriot collection will be played in the lottery in a few weeks. There will be 19 spots, $19 is the cost of each. I'll post it here on AZB when it's complete.
Thanks for reading!
Now photos on some Tulips we've made before. You are welcome to post your favorite Tulips also!
