Thankfully they have closed Reds (and snook and trout) for the entire year in the Tampa Bay Area. After thirty strait years of open season it’s about time. The red tide a couple of years ago just decimated our stocks.
 
I tried to push this guy out to the camera, damn near dropped a nut.

Watched a fishing show this weekend out of Tampa, the guide said the efforts have been well received and that's always good to hear! The fish are tough and will make a comeback if the people let em! Conservation is a good thing!
