The version of pong I played didn't even have a rounded puck, it was square. What fascinated me was that I could put spin on the puck, much like pool. Of course pong was very pricey, those machines ate a quarter fast!

I think what really left many doubting we had been to the moon were the fantastic cartoons they put out in the days or maybe a week before the moon landing showing what to expect. These weren't Tom and Jerry style cartoons, they looked real. When we saw video of the moon landing it did look pretty much exactly the same.

I spent a lot of time in a small community for three or four years. Nobody I talked to in that community believed we had landed on the moon. Years later I was able to get very close to the moon lander and realized just how dangerous that trip had been. That thing was a piece of crap to put it gently!

With drones I considered that might have been where the multiple angles and such came from. The last video game I spent much time playing was the first, pong. A bouncing "puck" and paddles that were just a short straight line that moved up and down, no picture. Some friends got into video gaming, I shot pool. If I totaled up all the time I have played the modern style video games in my lifetime it wouldn't total an hour. Probably why I didn't consider it might be a video game which seems almost certain now.

I still have the Radio Shack version of pong in the box
