This reminds me of the story a friend shared with me , he was at a local tire store getting a tire repaired when the phone rang and it was a Air Force personal on the other end calling to get a tire ordered for a Humvee , a few minutes later the phone rang again , same as the first call for a tire for a Humvee again this time they needed roadside assistance , it was winter with deep snow and they chained up the Humvee for better traction , with ice breaker tire chains .
Following strict orders from a senior officer they installed the chains on all 4 tires ..... with the ice breaker V's against the tire thread which of course blew out the tire in short order !
Which makes one realize there's a lot of folks who aren't familiar with how to put tire chains on or are from Montana ha ha the soldiers were only following orders so they weren't to be blamed for not arguing with a superior officer .
