I appreciate your concern about my life blakerandy , but don't you worry , my life has been a grand adventure filled with things most people will never get to experience .
As for a positive attitude even during 7 weeks fighting cancer in a cancer Institute the nurses and Dr's commented that I was one of the most upbeat patients they've ever had and my story was featured on their Facebook website ha ha .

My treatments were done in December of 2017 I can walk in there during working hours and the Dr's and nurses still recognize me and smile ha ha !

As for those who may say hurtful or mean things to me I just smile and respond with those words of wisdom from Captain Jack Sparrow , Sticks and Stones !

You may or may not know this Rusty, but your attitude does inspire people.

From the kick in the teeth of first hearing the news to the endless sleepless nights accepting it, trying to maintain sanity is a little less difficult when seeing your thumbs up at the bottom of a post.

Thank you Brother!

Thank you Jimmy for the kind words they mean a great deal to me !

A bit more on the above story is that I lost both my parents to basically cancer and it's treatment ! My dad to prostate cancer then my mom to ovarian cancer years ago I had a front row seat to watch from .

In 2017 I have a lump starting at my jaw running down to my collar bone , I'm lethargic ( worse than normal even ha ha ) and it's about 2" wide and 1\2" thick . my general Dr thought it was a form of skin cancer after a bunch of tests they figured out it was P - 16 HPV the cancer they suggest you vaccinate your sons for in their early teens .

Mine was a small dot in my tonsils , which the Dr removed a tough surgery when you're in your late 50's !
Then recovery is challenging at times also , when the blood clot breaks loose , mine did ! While I live 125 miles from the hospital where they worked on me , A quick trip back there to get fitted for the mask to wear during radiation treatments and I was sent off to surgery again to fix it , at this point I had filled 8 spit sacks with blood clots , my blood pressure was normally 140 over 80 in other words high but now it was 90 over 60 and starting a IV was difficult at best .

This set back the start of treatments by a couple more weeks . then bad teeth needed to be fixed or removed ! As there is no visits to the dentist after cancer treatments start for fear of infections .

My advice if your still reading this stay healthy and keep eating while going through cancer treatments ! Feeding tubes suck because I quit eating so they made me get a feeding tube , oh yes and I quit chewing Copenhagen cold turkey on Dec 2 nd 2017 at 10:30 am was my last dip ha ha !

Just the sight of food makes you sick things get tough , it throw up in the middle of the night even if I had a dream of enjoying a steak dinner or eating a slice of pizza !

Then to get rid of the tube you have to eat normal food for a month and gain weight back , another challenge !
This is where I'll quit for now before the other issues and fun stuff that happened .

So a positive attitude is paramount to make it and a stubborn streak a mile wide doesn't hurt either ha ha anyone who wants to know more about this feel free to send me a private message and I'll gladly do what I can to answer questions or comments as best I can !
I did loose a friend while we both were fighting cancer he was much older than me and a coyote hunting fool , we'd talk briefly each Friday until he passed away .

No my throat cancer wasn't caused from me chewing Copenhagen it was passed down to me from my parents .
Now you know the rest of the story !
