my guess they show only when you attach one at a time.

After adding the attachments look above the comment box and find the symbol next to the smiley face and above the "remove link" symbol.
Its black and white.

Click it and a box will drop down. At the bottom of the box click where it
says insert all and all attachements will be added and shown.

You can also expose them one at a time if you want.
