i'm going to preface this, with the fact that KK9 is unfamiliar (still), with certain furniture terminology(ies)....

Peter Cousins is the #1 CA rep & owns 1 of the top contemporary manufacturers. i've known him forever. well, his 25yr old son, Christian, was hired by my mfg recently, as National Sales Manager.

 so....

we are in the shrm & Mark (my NY rep who smokes),
is walking out w/ Christian & asks me if we want to join
them. i see it as a great opportunity to connect w/
 Christian, and we follow.

we go to the stairwell @ H7.

so the 4 of us are lighting up.
chit-chat, yada yada. i had FAILED to enlighten KK9,
as to Christian & his dad. so KK9 asks:

AND CHRISTIAN, WHAT IS YOUR POSITION WITH PASTEL?

(sorry - had to pick myself up off of the floor - continue)

and Christian says, in his non-accent & very quickly:

 I'M DIRECTOR OF KEY ACCOUNTS

(say it 5 times really fast & hang onto your chair....)

and poor naive KK9, innocently cocks his head (i can't even
see straight for the keyboard), and says....

 DIRECTOR OF KITTY-KATS? WHA - ????

Mark & i both fell into each other to hold ourselves
up. within 10 minutes, the receptionist had edited
 Christian's business cards. i told him that i can't
wait to tell his Dad of his "promotion". and i've been laughing for 2
 days straight.

(i'm thinking of sending the story into Furniture Today)
