Seeing that is just painful , and I was along distance runner in high school and college . I must admit the biggest mistake I've ever made was when I quit working out and quit running ! Anymore I'm darn happy to walk without any pain ! Ha ha
Is that a $999.99 ballpark special?

This is already set up for hunting coyotes and feral hogs ! Ha ha
I was driving on Mill Street in Reno in the mid 1980's, near the airport, when an SR71 came out of nowhere and did a touch and go on one of the main runways. I couldn't believe what I'd seen. Next day in the Reno paper, there was a short paragraph about the incident. Apparently the SR71 crew never made contact with air control. They must have done it as a prank.
To this day I've never heard of any reason given or any historical account by the crew.

A high school buddy and my next door neighbor joined the Air Force and became a " Chuck Yeager " type or test pilot of sorts for the AF .
While on leave visiting his folks and I , he told of leaving the base in Texas with anything from a fighter jet to a B52 flying up to Montana for a practice bombing run taking out power plants oil refineries and other targets of interest .
They we had a radar station for the Air Force that my folks won the plumbing contract for and furnished portable toilets for , so I was the guy who cleaned out the " Green Rooms " and just after sun up I was driving the septic tank truck over there when I heard a extremely loud noise and I thought something was seriously going wrong with the truck until I seen a fighter jet make a sharp banking manoeuvre and the pilot was waving at me with a huge grin on his face as if he was saying thank you for being a practice run moving target !
The radar base was shut down and the houses are a seniors citizen community of sorts was what I was told .
