Funny story.

I wonder how they draw that conclusion. I mean, if it's just a suspicious address that it was coming from I would have thought that they would x-ray the package before confronting you.
I would feel like they are crossing the line by coming to my place of business with this sort of thing. A person could get into a lot of trouble with their boss because of the DEA's mistake.

Send me your address and I will send ya some baking soda and we can see what happens!

BTW, congrats on your new cue. How about some pictures of it?

Ill bet they had a dog sniff it. If not they should have.

I always thought they intercepted packages ahead of delivery and did whatever it is they do to check it out. I'm sure they probably are skilled in opening packages and with the help of the Post Office, UPS, repackaging and delivering as usual.
If the package is coming from a "bad area", I would think they would concentrate on the sender. As I said earlier, they have their ways of doing things.

I would've said...no..

They were hoping for some action I guess. Wrong dude I am as clean as they come haha.

I can't speak for anyone else but as far as I know people just drink.

I still find it really weird that they just "randomly thought it was suspicious"

Makes me wonder what their reasoning behind it was, I should have asked them.

I would've said, no, you can't open my package. Tampering with mail is a federal offense, so thank you for my package and good day.

They asked you if they could open it for a reason, they weren't allowed to without your permission.

They probably thought the guy who sent it was a drug dealer or they got word on him or the address etc. and were just suspicious. No way in hell, they're going to get a judge to issue a warrant on that, so they come and ask if they can open it hoping for the intimidation factor to influence your answer.

I wish I could think on my toes like that. He said "I peeked inside and thought it was a cue case."

I should have said something along the lines of it being a federal offence for tampering with mail. Man I suck at quick thinking.

You and me both Bud. My Brother was an absolute magician at it. He could floor a person with his instant comebacks. Very funny to watch him put someone instantly off guard.

I always think of the good things that I should have said, usually 5 minutes after it doesn't make a difference any longer.

Just as well that you were cooperative with them. Give them a chance to get a hard on and they have other ways to make your life crappy for ya.
