about 7 or 8 years ago on xmas day,my friend calls me and says, yoo i got a game for you.i said wow its xmas day ,but if they will bet good lets ride.
i go down to cincy to play mike brown ,he wants the 8 ball playing 9 ball.
funny thing is i gave him the 8 and the break before and beat him.
so we play 8 ahead for 2 k. i win 2 sets and he wants to gamble but knows he cant win.eric durbin is there so he backs him same bet i think.
i win the set and mike brown has 200 left,
what does he do with the 200
puts it in the ash tray and lights it on fire
lol wow that guy is sick.

merry xmas to all.

I use to tear up 10's and 20's occasionally after a loss. I did it to make sure i didnt forget what a bad game i was in. Eventually I stopped gambling on myself. Pretty obvious i didnt have the right head for it.

I was going to go crazy and gamble with you today, but it sounds like you're pretty good, so I'll pass.

Up in smoke! I heard of having money to burn but i've never seen it. Funny story! Thanks for posting. Merry Christmas!

I saw Durbin set a hundo on fire and it made me absolutely sick!! A couple years later he borrowed 60 from me and I said.." you shouldn't of burned that benjamin a couple years back "...btw, still haven't got the 60...LOL.

He just wanted to give a Christmas gift to his favorite player! :D
You have to play me on Hanukah. :)

My ex wife gave me a set of cool old pool balls today for Christmas. I said thanks, but I already have vintage balls! I crack myself up sometimes.:grin-square:

Nice one Smooth Criminal!

The Mike Brown story reminded me of a story when I was 19 years old and talking smack to the pool room owner, Al Morales. Al had more gamble in his little toe than the whole pool room put together. I was just trying to get Al in a game, any pool game. He was LOADED financially and would occasionally go off like a rocket. He gambled at just about anything, craps, cards, pool etc but he couldn't make three balls in a row. Back then I could probably run 7 or 8. LOL.

I was leaving the following week to go to boot camp at MCRC San Diego, CA and he and I got in a heated argument about how he didn't have any gamble and he pulled out a twenty and said, "I'll show you what money means to me.", and commenced to lighting the twenty on fire. I thought he was the nuttiest guy I ever met when it came to be mad at his money.

City Park Ping Pong and Billiard Lounge. Had TWO separated pool rooms, one of dates or just girls and the other for the guys. On weekends, after closing at midnight Al would lock the doors and would be the bank and we would play craps until we lost all of our money to him, forever shooting a toothpick at a lumber yard, regretably always winding up busted. If Al got broke which didn't happen often, he would go upstairs to "THE SAFE" and bring back so much money it would make your knees shake. The doors were locked and Al carried a pistol and was crazy enough to shoot someone so no one messed with Al, except for those pinball machines he kept just out of his view.:embarrassed2:

Merry Christmas Chris!
