I would like to point out that this very thread points to the fact that we at Sterling Gaming have come out loser in this as well. There are thousands of dollars' worth of product that are unaccounted for. Our reputation is tarnished by association.
I find it incredibly interesting that the sponsor is being accused for the mess that the promoter made. Without sponsors such as Sterling Gaming most regional tours could not exist. Nevertheless we do not manage the tours we sponsor. We have ZERO culpability and ZERO liability for King's Bay Promotion's deficiency in delivering the promised monies and goods.

Someone emailed me this thread to bring it to my attention and in reading it I was not going to post out here but I will make a few comments.
I do not think the original thread was meant to hold Sterling Gaming accountable at all. I believe a player was trying to reach out to "Fury" to try to get some help in getting their prize money from KBP. As I have explained about 1 year ago to all of the players they probably would not see anything. I have spoken to many of the players throughout the year regarding this that are local that I play with.
A lawsuit was started but ended as it would cost me more money than what the players would get back and more money than I make in my other career in 3 months. Therefore, I started running other major events in the area where I made no money and with the support of some generous room owners players were once again able to compete in a tournament with bigger payouts. These tournaments will once again start in the fall as long as we have the support of the room owners in the area. All rooms are hurting in the area this time of year.
Other things have been done and will continue to be done to give the players an opportunity to recoup their loses even if they have to pay an entry fee. I know to some this does not help. All I can do is try to give the players the opportunity to play and win.
All of the business professionals of Sterling Gaming have done a fine job. They have gone above and beyond what their agreement with KBP was. Fury's name is not tarnished here in the Great Lakes Region. Every tournament I ran for KBP were players and room owners were to receive Sterling Gaming products got just that and the product that was given to me or delivered directly to the room owners was delivered. Anything extra that was in my possession was returned to either Sterling Gaming or KBP by certified carrier. Many players here that are at an amateur level do play with Fury and Sierra cues as well as still outfit themselves with products that were either supplied or purchased through Sterling Gaming. I also know for a fact that many room owners do still purchase their retail products from Sterling Gaming.
If I hit the lottery I would pay all of you your membership fees back and pay out the prize money for the end of the year. I would also hold a $10K tournament free entry. But hitting the lottery is close to impossible and I am not as successful as Kevin T. - yet. It is unfortunate that even though all of your money was sent to KBP and accounted for that KBP will not hold up their end of the agreement.
My advice to all of you reading this is to not do business with such KBP as they are shady people as I have learned. Also my advice to you is to not play in any of her tournaments down south.
Not only did Sterling come out a loser, I came out at a financial loss as well as the players. The only person who scammed and profited was KBP.
My last thought is to why this subject is continually reinterated here on AZ. All this does is open up chaos and problems because of its negativity. If there is someone who would like to discuss this send me an email. I will give you my two cents as I have stated here and then direct you to KBP.
Bottom line will never change unless Kay Higgins pays you your money that she holds in her possession. I will not post on this subject anymore.
