Future Action Challenge Ideas

I'd like to see something with Larry Nevel involved. I'm going to talk to him about an all-around with Danny Harriman, and I know he's interested in playing SVB some. Of course, SVB has never been up to that challange in the past. He did however say that he plays the same as Larry but he breaks better. So, how about the first action challenge break contest? Something having to do with control and balls pocketed since we all know Larry pushes out hard then SVB breaks. LOL. Like I said in another thread though, I do respect SVB's game. Larry would also be a good choice for a one-pocket challenge. T-Rex, Joyner, Reyes, Daulton, Earl, pretty much anyone that plays one-pocket would be interesting to see Larry play. His one-pocket game is very underrated.

Biv you got action with the three ball ghost...

we are playing bank pool right?

Bank pool? if I get ball in hand on the cue ball and object ball ill THINK about it.

Oh and high 5 on winning on danny, I won a lil also ;)

*high five*

I sent half of it right back in on the Gabe match only to get no decision. Ah well...

Derek and Dave, long range high five from MT Danny's the man

Jake ( they see me rollin', they hatin.....)

What about Stevie Moore in an all around versues Danny? 14.1 or 1 hole, short rack banks, and 10 ball would be fun to sweat.

I tried to get down on chris's end, but couldnt get any takers.
I wanna take Earl in this next match, but I can't come up with anything thats fair to where both parties feel like its an even bet. .

Bigsky, dont let em catch you ridin dirty!

14.1 and the 1p were great this past weekend! I'd like to see more!

10 ball? eh.. was alright i guess.

Throw in bank pool, 10 ball, and any third game, id just about say Danny would play anyone in this format.

old skool!

Bring out any of these guys...

Varner
Hopkins
McCready
Rempe
Davenport

and anyone else I forgot?.....let em play banks, 14.1, 1 pocket, and PUSHOUT 9ball!!!!

I'll sign up right now!

I want to see Souquet and Parica battle some 9-ball.

Drew,
That's an interesting pairing. How did you come up with those 2? Are they some of your favorites?
Nothing wrong with that choice, I'm just curious about your reasoning.
BTW, how do you see that match up unfolding?
Thanks,
Terry

Souquet and Parica are the workhorses in pool. They play hard every time. Every game they play is like the last game of their lives. I don't think there is anyone else in the world that loves pool as much as these two. Neither of them are powerhouses. They don't have super strokes, monster breaks, or shot making ability. They play perfect patterns and that's it. I want to see the two most underrated players.

Edit: I like Souquet to win but not by much. Parica will fight until the last game.

I understand that the Huge names like Corey/Shane/Earl are going to get the bigger sales...but I enjoyed the bartrum/Gabe match best so far.

I like watching players gamble that are very good players, yet are still capable of missing a ball here and there. I know it sounds silly but I would rather watch the lower tier pros/gamblers play that sometime get outta line and kinda dog it a tad. Its more entertaining to sweat a match where its not just rack after rack after rack of flawless, inline runnouts. I would pay to watch "famous" shortstops gamble. ie Little John, Justin Cone, Shorty, etc etc.

I just hope TAR doesn't "ban" any ability levels. Good action, is good action.

Im digging this..

Great analyisis of this proposed match up! Thanks.

I'd like to see a great one pocket match Tony Chohan vs. Cliff Joyner That would be a great action challenge!

After all of your talk, i have got to see this guy play a top player... 1 pocket, 10 ball, 9 ball any of these games on a 9 foot...

Hell let larry play SVB in 10 ball, T-Rex in 1 hole, Schmidt in Straight pool, and Corey in 9 ball...

let's see what Larry Nevel is all about

After Yang beat Dennis, I'd call him the real action challenge king and I'd think he would have to be involved for anyone to really claim to be the best. If he doesn't like playing 10-ball, let him play Corey some rack your own 9-ball. Then put up a pinoy against Shane 10-ball, preferably Alex but Dennis, Bustamante, Efren or Lee Van would be cool too. One pocket would be cool to see Chohan or Cliff playing either Efren or Parica.

Yang vs SVB would be really nice.
I would also love to see Strickland vs Sigel in a match up
And one more that I really hope comes to fruition is Shannon Daulton vs Danny Harriman in an "All-Around" match up of 9 ball, banks and one pocket.

.

Jon Hennessee vs. Earl Strickland (Somebody gonna blow sky high)

Bobby Pickle vs Keith McCready on a barbox (loser pays for the beer too)

Efren vs SVB (with an appropriate coach) in one hole

Dennis Hatch vs Johnny Archer 10 ball

Pickle, McCready, Daulton, Pagulayan, Townsend in a ring game
