You can see if you look close, they are cut from flat stock.

Actually, I'm not sure i have ever seen any from rolled stock. Typically, the rolled phenolics are tubes and not solid rod. At least that's what I've seen.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts on the pins. I didn't want to say forsure or not. But I believe them to be out of flat stock as well.
