Ga Young Kim wins

I agree with the general sentiment here. Ga Young's highest game is incredible, in part because she has a great break to go along with a rock solid runout game. Neither Allison nor Karen ever dominates with their break (save the short period in which Karen used the soft break with the Sardo rack in use). Still, Ga Young is weaker tactically than Jasmin, who is tactically weaker than Allison, who is tactically weaker than Karen. If Ga Young catches them all in tactics, she has a chance to mass produce WPBA titles the way Allison and Karen always have. Nice to see her begin the year in such fine fashion, and wishing her continued success.

A few years ago I predicted that Ga Young Kim would rise to the top - mostly because I liked the way she got position (like a man). And you pointed out that she was weak tactically and you didn't really recognize her talent then, IMO.

LIkewise, I don't think you appreciate Jasmin's talent enough. She plays better than Kim offensively, mostly because of the way she gets position. She just has it. Not to put her in the same class as Efren, but she is a cut above all the rest of the women. The english, the angles she uses, it's all there. It is not only mental game but her beautiful stroke and her inate pool playing ability that makes her superior. Plus, IMO, she has the mental makeup of a true chamption. There is no competitor quite like her, even Allison.

I think Jasmin is the best woman player in the world right now, period. No comparison. Sorry Allison, you are getting too old to have the desire any more, and even if you did, you are going to get steamrolled. The day of the snooker players' dominance is over my friends in women's pool.

But who knows. Maybe she will become love stricken or something and drop out of pool . Only time will tell.

You are wrong. It was the first time Allison, Karen and Lee were all absent from WPC, the reason was these WPBA super stars angered the Amway Cup organizer for charging a lot of the appearance money and prize (the winner could earn US$24,000 in 2005). Then the organizer decided to replace the Amway Cup invitational tournament with the Amway Cup WPC (no appearance money in WPC). In fact, Karen and Lee has never done well in WPC.

Speaking of charging alot of money. have you seen what it cost to take a 3-day lesson from Allison? 1900.00! Whew! Kinda pricey i thought.

Now would be a great time for someone to pick up one of these superstars. The women's billiards are about to explode! Kelly Fisher told me she was also looking for a sponsor. I believe this sport will overcome. It is definitely moving forward.=))
