Ga Young Kim's new cue

I just watched Gerda Hofstatter vs Ga Young Kim on ESPN and I noticed that Ga Young Kim wasn't playing with her South West cue. She had a different cue with inlays in it.

Does anyone know who made her new cue and is she being sponsored by that cue maker?

Kim is now playing with a KF Cue, I believe. Made by Kaofa in Taiwan. Unless she has changed recently, Pan Xiao Ting was playing with a Kaofa cue also.

I have a carom cue and J/B from KaoFa and they are fine cues. Had zero problems with them on every level. Delivered on time and all was smooth sailing as far as my requests for tapers and anything else I wanted. Heard about them from Eric Yow and would reccomend them anytime.

I've been working with Tony from KF cues for a couple of months and have been shooting with an F-10 with the Vigor shaft. I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the cue and have nothing by superlatives to say about it. The cues are first class and play great. The Vigor is an engineered shaft that has great feel and some solid engineering behind it. Ga Young is shooting with their NA001 with the Vigor shaft. We used KF for an in house cue league and have 25 cues ordered for delivery in July. The gang at KF is very professional and, in my experience, the equal of any US production cue company. The cues are very reasonably priced, particularly considering the construction quality.

There was a period of adjustment for sure but she is powering the ball all around with her KF of late.
 
where can you get KF cues from? directly from the factory in taiwan? or is there a reseller in the US?

From what I read, Fong Pang Chao plays with one.

that is such a sharp looking case, Jack. Really has eye appeal. I noticed the pad you put into the shoulder strap.

That's a nice looking cue and thanks for the information. I'm not familiar with KF cues, but the one in your picture looks nice.

I couldn't agree more with you. She was awesome with that ebony South West cue and I think she should have stuck with it. Changing to a different cue can really throw some players off their top game, but Ga Young is so talented that she can play with anything.

nice case btw.. i saw ga young kim at the predator tour last 21st, and her cue was really nice. and the case she was using was still the other justis case. the pink ones.

You can also visit the KF site www.poolcues.com.tw and tour around but the best bet is the KF catalogue. Let me know if you're interested in a .pdf.
 
I have been using the VIgor now for nearly 5 months and am playing very well, I also am a dealer for KF custom cues and Vigor shafts which I luv they make a great cue.
Anyone intrested let me know.
