Gallerytechnique: Feedback appreciated

Hi,

I have just finished an Adobe Lightroom-Gallery with pictures of my Murrell and my Kruger.

http://www.rackow-fotodesign.de/Cuepictures/

Question: Do you like this kind of presentation? What would you do differently?

You will need to have flash installed in your browser. For most computers, this will be the case. And: No, you can't view the gallery on an iPhone

Regards,

Detlev

To slow for me
I have high speed what if someone is on DSL or Sat / dial up
Thanks

Hi,

thanks for the feedback. Actually, the flash galery does not load noticably slower than a plain html page with embedded images. Flash loads the normal jpg-files from the server. I have just used jpgs with a large size to preserve as many details as possible.

Actually, what is a common linespeed in the US? People over here have mostly 1MBps-6MBps, higher rates are not yet available everywhere.

Anyone else? Come on, there were over 100 hits on the page, but only 12 votes :o

Regards,

Detlev

For what it's worth, I like it. It did take a little longer to load, but I liked the way the pics were displayed. No back button needed, no extra windows open. Neat approach.

The pistol is a nice addition, though a Walther PPK would be my preference!!!
Bond, James Bond!

Loads just fine for me. I like the setup. Gives me ideas for when I get around to doing my own website.

I think it looks good. I would like to have a sub-window with the whole page in a smaller size that is always visible to give me a reference to my location, because when you come in close, you cannot tell where you are relative to the other pictures. I really like the arrow key navigation and the fact that you don't have to drill down.

Nice job!

Well, it's the studio of a friend of mine, and it's only a replica from her pool of requisites - I have done her a few favours maintaining her computer, and she owed me some hours of playing-around with her studio equipment :-)

Actually, she found it quite funny: Whenever she uses the pistol for a model shoot, I claim that the picture would be better without the gun. So she had quite a laugh when I used it for these pictures. :o

I like it a lot. It's different and it breaks the normal routine looking a cue pictures.
