Gambler vs non gambler

You have stated these two hypotehtical players are pretty even in play.

What else is there? Gambling experience does not provide a magic edge, lead, or charm. Playing experience does that.... and these players are pretty even... right?

Gambling experience may help confidence - maybe the ability to fade some bad rolls - but it can't make one single ball. The only exception I can think of is when one of the players is out of thier comfort zone (high rolled) and the other is not. Don't bet outside your comfort zone ever - or you will be thinking about your wallet instead of your stroke.

If the two players are even in play - I would give the edge to the guy who wants the win more for whatever reason.

Generally gamblers have an ability to match up a bit better - but your thoeretical guys are pretty even right? The match is made. Now it's time to shoot. I truly enjoy those "even" kind of matches or sets. Nobody has the nuts - and you have to really play to win.

For some reason - those matches used to be a lot easier to find. If you can get one now - jump on it. An even game - wow -

EVEN matchups are a MYTH! lol

What a tool.

+1...been biting my tongue so hard it's bleeding.
Cleary, you're a better man than me when it comes to dealing with people like this. Holy crap. I never REALLY knew the definition of NIT until this guy started posting.
This guys threads should be bookmarked so no one ever has to ask the definition again.

By the way, I have very little interest in playing you Tony. You're just a pain in my ass. If you wanna bark, we can play even on a tight table. Otherwise, just drop it before it gets physical.

Gambler vs non gambler

lets say they are pretty even in play.

But # 1 is a tournament player who just enjoys playing.

# 2 is a gambler

Who has the advantage & by how many games?

Lets say they race to 15.

Who would win & by what score?

The gambler wins by 4 going to 13. Even if the tournament player has 30+ events under his belt, he's unseasoned and can't win with 3 on the wire.

Efren is a pretty good tournament player and a good gambler as well. Same with SVB. It would be a toss up, but this thread is a failed attempt tog et Cleary to bite. Move on already. Even or don't play.

Come on Andrew, I can't believe you are trying to hustle this dude, lol. He's trying to meet you more than halfway.

I mean, you want to play even, and he wants two games to seven. You offer two to thirteen, and then he goes out of his way to give you a fair deal of three to thirteen. Iggy is doing everything he can to mitigate your skill and your just stone cold hustling the dude.

These two threads are beyond retarded. Two guys who are both C players and one guy wants a 25% head start on the race because the other one asked him to gamble.

If a dude who plays anywhere close to me offers me two to thirteen I would be knocking on his door and giving him a ride to the poolroom, lol.

Cleary, in situations like this you are probably better off not even playing the guy. Nothing good will come of it. If you win you will never hear the end of how you "hustled" the dude. If you lose, you will still never hear the end of how you got beat. No way for you to win.

I don't gamble with guys who are drama. When I lose, I hand them money and shake their hand. I expect the same. Any more mouthing and I'm not interested.

I agree completely with that last part. I'm not playing for mortgage money, so I refuse to play if it isn't fun.

Brandon, I offered him 2 on 13 and he didn't want it. I have no business offering him anything but I did. He said no. That's fine. He continued to bark so I changed the game to even. Why give him anything? I don't need his money... I dont need to play him. I offered to play him 8 months ago in a very friendly manner and havn't heard the end of it. These threads on az are just a drop in the bucket.

If he wants to play, its even. But you're right, I would rather not play him at all cause I know he is just gonna be a pain in the ass.

Playing WHAT(assuming 9 ball)...and for what (practice, tournament, little cash or actual cash)....out of those 4 "meetings" (there are actually more....but lets deal with these 4). 1st practice...(funzy players wins 15-8), 2nd tournament ...(really more than one answer depending on the entry fee but...(funzy player wins 15-13 up to $50 entry fee beyond that gambler wins 15-10)...3rd little cash (funzy player wins 15-14)...4th actual cash...(gambler wins 15-5). NOTE: gambler can win ANY of the 4 (or more) meetings, depending on his interest in the game. The funzy player has no real "chance" for any contest that means anything (will not be able to handle the pressure, THAT is where the term "Egg" comes from...it looks "solid" put put any pressure on it...IT CRACKS). Of course this is just my opinion...as an egg

Physical?

Changing the rules again Now he wants a tight table LOL

Next he will want all the breaks! and make me shoot behind my back.

Cleary Don't show all your friends your a coward. At least you have your buddies trying to help you get you out of the mess you put yourself in.

By the way if you want to get physical Play with Mary & her 4 sisters.

I've said every damn time that I'll only play on a tight table. Gambling on a bucket table is stupid. You can go re-read the other thread or just take a look at the quotes I just pulled from it...

Tony... I don't know if I can beat you even but because you got the heart of a fly... I'll give you 2 games on 13. Table 11 at Amsterdam. Bet 500, 2 set min. 9ball must be called if not obvious.

Get up and play.

2 on 13, 200-500/set. 2 set min. Table 11 @ Amsterdam. Play it or dont, I don't care.

Tony, I MADE YOU AN OFFER WHICH WAS WAY MORE THAN FAIR. WE SHOULD PLAY EVEN, BUT I OFFERED YOU 2 GAMES ON 13. IF YOU DONT WANT 2 GAMES ON 13 THAN I SUGGEST YOU PULL UP YOUR SKIRT AND LEAVE THIS CONVO BEFORE YOU MAKE YOURSELF LOOK LIKE A TOTAL MORON. NEARLY TOO LATE FOR THAT....

I'm not backing away, I offered you the same game that I offered before. Thats the best I'll do. I even lowered the price for ya. Maybe we can put you on a layway plan.

2 on 13, 200-500/set. 2 set min. Table 11 @ Amsterdam. Play it or dont, I don't care.

If I'm going to give someone that I might not beat EVEN a spot, I'm gonna play it on a table I'm familiar with.

Pick a table tony: Amsterdam table 11, Soho front table, skyline front table. All of them have tight pockets, like you.

Exactly, he's looking to steal. I offered him 2 on 13 several times in this thread and he wont take it... that offer has expired.

The new offer is this:

race to 15, EVEN. $2000. Amsterdam, Soho or Skyline tight tables. Put your money on the lights or shut your mouth!

Eric, like I said before... this guy wont quit. This sh*t on az is just the tip of the iceberg. He's been barking at me for months on facebook and in chatrooms. He has no intentions of playing. He also has trouble reading and with reading comprehension. Everything I've posted has went over his head. He takes 2 or 3 words out of a post and runs with it. I just want him to quit posting. I don't even want to play him... like someone said, its a no win situation.

Seriously, give it a rest. You're the one that plays even and are begging for a spot like a horny little girl.

I said in my first post in the other thread that you were probably just a waste of time and effort and you've exceeded my expectations.

LOL i'm trying somebody keeps back pedaling :-) That little kid hits hard.

I can't beat you Tony. You're too good. I give up. You're right, I'm underrated and a sandbagger... I should give you the 5out, but I wont cause I have no heart. I give up. You win. Good luck. BYE
