Gambling as a measure of skill?

Give me a break. Anyone who plays Mika for money and doesn't expect a tough match, is an idiot. I don't care what the game is. Mika could whine all day long about his game, or not practicing, or whatever. He should still be taken very very seriously.

I totally agree with you. Friends of mine that did play Mika came under severe tongue lashing for even thinking they could survive 9-7 one hole against Mika. What I said was Mika does gamble. What I also didnt like was how he set up his matches. He had one of his henchmen come in talking down his game (one hole). About how he didnt know the game. They played each other pretending to bet and Mika really looked bad. He really put on an act. I just didnt appreciate the scam. As I said I didnt think it was behaviour fitting a World Champion. But I agree with you. Any one thinking theyre going to get any easy match against a Pro is an idiot. Thats why they are called PRO.

Efren Reyes came in one day and played anyone any game. One pocket, nine ball, 3 rail, etc. He never said no to anyone giving up all kinds of spots. No act no nothing. Jose did the same giving up the 6, 7, 8, and the breaks. No complaints, no whining. They beat everyone and got a lot of respect.

Good point Yobagua. That's the behavior of a road hustler, not a world champion. Still, I don't pity the guys who lost their money! :) I'm just a shortstop, and I don't even lie about my game. I'd rather lose.
