That’s exactly my point. An individual who struggles to make money will find gambling more attractive. That will of course be true in any country. But it scales better in poorer areas. That was the situation in the Philippines where Dennis Orcullo could make more as a pool player than as a fisherman. I couldn’t possibly make more money as a pool player than what I do now, not unless I was a top 5 player.
This is an quote. They heard about playing pool in the US. It's funny, someone said. "In America they only use nine balls AND THEY BET MONEY". Of course referring to the fact that they grew up playing 15 ball rotation. That really cracked us up.
