Just bought a couple of Gandy tables.I'm wondering what kind of rails
are needed for it and will it ever play as good as say a gold crown?
And who could do the work and setup.I live about 1 hour west of
Bowling green ky and about 1 hour north of Clarksville Tn.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Artemis pool cushions are the K66 profile cushions that'll fit the Gandy rails, but they need to be modified to play better than the factory built them, or there won't be any improvement to the way they play.

It probably wouldn't be until after the 1st of the year, but I could do the work for you if you haven't found someone by then.

Table

IMHO'

The gandy rails can be a real pain to work on especially when the table owner decides they will remove the old cushions before hand to help out...
The hardwood subrail can be a pain....
The thick canvas on top of the Artemis pool cushions don't help the installer out much either...
I've noticed on a gandy the rails in the set- some are heavier-some are light as a feather...
It'd be best to send the rail to bobby or equivalent and have the subrail replaced and hardware updated.

Best of luck.
