One piece slate is really awkward and very heavy to handle for home installations.
I'd like to see dowel pinned slates with leveling bolts that run up through the frame.
The cost might be prohibitive doing that, but it would make a very nice home table.

I personally think aesthetically the GCV is already a perfect table. A GCV is the only thing I would give up my modified GCII for. :)
